These two make up one of one of Tokyo’s largest green expanses. The Meiji Jingu grounds are one of Japan’s most hallowed, and people flock to the shrine every weekend to get a dose of the more traditional side of Japan. The inner garden is a treat, if you don’t mind paying the small fee.
Yoyogi Park is the rowdy neighbor. A place where friends and family come together on sunny weekends to picnic next to the pond, or play some frisbee on the massive central field. Perhaps not as peaceful as Meiji Jingu, but yet another great get-away from your shopping spree.
