It has proven popular, with over 1,700 people signing up for the opening day. Just being there is fun thanks to the Instagrammable pink asphalt.

So that they can carefully look after and serve such fresh and delicious strawberries regardless of the season, the strawberry house is reservation-only. The floor inside the house is concrete which offers a clean environment. They have also come up with ways to eliminate any strain on your body from bending over and standing up so you can enjoy an adequate strawberry-picking adventure.

    See how Strawberries are Cultivated

Beni Hoppe strawberries are made by combining the Akihime and Sachinoka varieties. In Japanese, the name means red cheeks, and the name was inspired by the Japanese term hoppe ga ochiru*, meaning “my cheeks are falling off.” This is often used to describe food that’s extremely flavorful. These particular strawberries are award-winning, so visitors won’t want to miss this exclusive experience!   *See Shizuoka Prefecture's official website for more information.
