Refreshing Watermelon Drink to be Released by Chun Shui Tang in Japan

11.June.2018 | FOOD

Chun Shui Tang is a Taiwanese cafe that claims to have invented tapioca milk tea. As a summertime special, the Japanese branches of the cafe are releasing a Tapioca Watermelon Milk Tea on June 13. Watermelon is synonymous with Japanese summer, and its combination with tapioca milk tea is sure to be the perfect way to cool off.

Watermelon is popular during summer in Taiwan too, the fruit kingdom. This beverage blends together watermelon and milk tea before adding chewy tapioca. The fusion of fragrant jasmine tea, milk and slightly salty taste of the watermelon all bring out a rich, sweet flavour.

While the watermelon tea is a new sight, the familiar Tapioca Mango Milk Tea, which was popular last year, is making a limited-time return too. They both come with the option of a set with Taiwanese noodles, so you can enjoy the drink for either lunchtime or teatime.
