‘CAFETEL Kyoto Sanjo for Ladies’ is a Female-Oriented Café & Hostel

15.June.2018 | SPOT

CAFETEL are opening their first establishment CAFETEL Kyoto Sanjo for Ladies on July 2.

CAFETEL is a new kind of accommodation facility that combines a café and hostel. Operating under the slogan, “Local and Global, beautifully blended,” they describe themselves as a crossroad between local people and travellers from around the world. The facility has the comfort of a café and the casualness and feeling of security of a hostel.

CAFETEL Kyoto Sanjo for Ladies is situated near several major tourist spots including Gion and Higashiyama. It’s also directly connected to Sanjo Keihan Station making it a very convenient base for a sightseeing trip in Kyoto.

The second floor 3-person rooms and third floor hostels are female-only areas. The development and management design is based around young women on trips. The staff, too, are of the millennial generation and in their 20s.

The house-style rooms are compact and incorporate the same feeling as a glamping trip. They make for perfect spaces for those nights of endless girly chit-chat. There are also rooms that overlook the Kamo River. Prices are reasonable, and it’s a great option to make the best of your trip in Kyoto.

The first floor café can be used by non-guests too from the early morning to dinnertime. You’ll find yourself pulling your camera out to snap photos of everything in there, whether it’s the Sanjosan Pancakes or the props.

As Kyoto’s crossroad between the locals and travellers, CAFETEL plans to host workshops and events. Having the staff build a community with people living around the area gives those staying at the hostel a chance to get involved with the locals too.

Stay at CAFETEL Kyoto Sanjo for Ladies yourself and feel like you’re living in Kyoto while on your trip.
