Minion Design Glasses to be Released by Zoff

The reign of the Minions continues as Japanese glasses brand Zoff has revealed a new collection based on the popular characters from the Despicable Me series. The glasses line will be released at Zoff stores and the company website on April 26.

The banana design features―you guessed it, a banana design, every Minions’ favourite fruit. The inner part of the frame also has Gru’s “G” logo on it.

This design is inspired by the denim dungarees that Minions are known for wearing. This design makes it easy for incorporating with casual fashion.

The leather quality is brought about using a special manufacturing technique. Its chic design is perfect for wearing to school or the workplace.

 

This “Daily Line” of glasses is perfect for both Minions fans and people wanting to just have fun with fashion in a nonchalant way.     Japanese eyewear brand Zoff is collaboration with the mobile game Disney: Twisted-Wonderland to release a collection of seven glasses this April on their official website.

     

    Specially-crafted frames based on the Dorms

    The collection features seven different glasses each inspired by a different Dormitory of Night Raven College as seen in Disney: Twisted-Wonderland. The temple, for example, features inlet parts based on the seven Dorms, so fans can represent their favourite while looking stylish at the same time. The coupling glasses cases, too, are branded with a simple yet sophisticated design of the Dorm emblems, and each case even comes with a glasses cloth bearing the names of the students.

  • Zoff’s Disney Design Glasses Collection is Every Disney-Lover’s Dream

    Japanese eyewear giant Zoff released a new collection of Disney glasses on Friday (March 5) featuring designs inspired by Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, and Daisy Duck. Official titled the “Disney Collection created by Zoff Happiness Series,” the line-up hit all Zoff stores, excluding outlets, and their online store in Japan.

  • Japan’s Leading Glasses Brand Zoff Revamps Logo For 20th Anniversary

    Next Wednesday (February 24) will mark the 20th anniversary that Japanese glasses brand Zoff opened its first store in 2001. Since launching, the leading eyewear brand has sought to create a generation when glasses play the leading part in the lives of wearers.

     

    At the core of Zoff has been a desire to create a society where anyone and everyone can enjoy glasses freely and easily. In the wake of their 20th anniversary, Zoff is now set to cement itself as an indispensable brand in society and people’s lives by exhibiting new value in glasses as a tool that expands the possibilities of humans, and that doesn’t stop at vision correction apparatus. “Eye Performance” is the mantra of Zoff going into their 20-year milestone.

    New Logo

    To brand that concept, Zoff has create a new logo that features a Siberian husky, something that has become a much-loved symbol of the brand. Their original husky logo was a photo taken by a child. This has been replaced with a new illustration that matches the brand’s iconic blue colour.

  • Zoff Eyewear and Dragon Quest X Launch Slime Collaboration

    Glasses brand Zoff launched its Dragon Quest X themed eyewear collection last Friday (December 18). To promote the collection, the Harajuku branch of Zoff will decorate the shop window with Dragon Quest X Online advertising starting on January 2, 2021. On the same date and at the same store, they will also hold a special Twitter campaign for people to win some free Zoff x Dragon Quest X glasses inspired by the Slimes from the game.

    Dragon Quest‘s Slime Family are known to both players and non-players of the game. The characters come in many different forms like the classic Slime as well as the Bubble Slime, Metal Slime, Slime Knight, and more.     To promote the upcoming release of the Fate/Grand Order THE MOVIE Divine Realm of the Round Table: Camelot, Japanese glasses brand Zoff is releasing six models inspired by characters from the anime film on their official website on December 4 at 11:00am (JST).

    The frame design comes in blue and black which is reminiscent of Gawain’s long, draping cloak. The glasses cloth is blue and white.

     

    Lancelot Model


    The frame design is a striking purple colour. It features metal parts in the corners just like the shoulders of Lancelot’s armour. The glasses cloth is a military black with purple to capture Lancelot’s hair.

    The frame design, including the front bridge and temple, are shaped in such a way to capture Tristan’s armour, and coloured just like his colour palette.

  • Sailor Moon Eternal Glasses Announced in Collaboration With JINS

    JINS, a top eyewear brand in Japan, is teaming up with Sailor Moon in promotion of the upcoming anime film Sailor Moon Eternal which is slated for 2021. Orders for the glasses will open via JINS online shop, JINS stores in Japan, and via Premium Bandai, on September 11, 2020.

    Sailor Moon is a shojo manga series written and illustrated by Naoko Takeuchi that was first serialised in Nakayoshi in 1991. The manga has been translated into 17 languages worldwide, and the anime series has been released in 40 countries. Sailor Moon Eternal will be the newest release to enter the franchise.

     

    JINS first collaborated with the series for Sailor Moon Crystal in February 2016 to create a stylish and nonchalant collection of glasses for women who had grown up alongside Sailor Moon.

    This new collection is made up of six different pairs of glasses each inspired by the six sailors from Sailor Moon Eternal.

  • Minions Confections Sneak Their Way Into Lawson Convenience Stores in Japan

    Bandai Candy’s character-inspired Japanese confectionery series Tabemas released a new batch of Minion-themed Japanese wagashi confections at Lawson convenience stores in Japan (excluding Lawson Store 100 branches) on August 4, 2020.

    ‘Tabemas’ is an abbreviation of the Japanese words taberareru masukotto, meaning ‘mascots that you can eat.’ It is a Japanese confectionery series that combines well-known characters and Japanese sweets made from ingredients like red bean paste, sugar and rice flour.

    The line-up includes familiar faces from the Despicable Me and Minions films, namely the childish Bob, Stuart—who loves a prank—and Kevin who has a leader presence about him. The confections feature all the little details for each character, from the goggles and hair to the colouring.

  • Young ASOBISYSTEM Models Design Glasses Perfect for Everyday Fashion

    Glasses brand Zoff teamed up with famous models Saki Shibata, Yuri Suganuma and Rinko Murata to produce a branded glasses series that is perfect to wear “All Day, Every Day”. The girls designed these glasses to fit into and enhance your everyday life experiences. The Zoff CLASSIC Girls Collection -All Day, Every Day- series will be released across Japan from October 11, 2019. 

    The main theme of this series is All Day, Every Day. From this, the three sub themes of morning, midday and evening were created and each model was put in charge of the designs for one of these themes. Shibata was in charge of ‘morning’ designs, Suganuma was in charge of ‘midday’ designs and Murata was in charge of ‘evening’ designs. Each model carefully thought of how the user would wear the glasses during their sub theme time in order to fully enhance their daily experiences. Each model also created a unique personal design out of metal for the temple tips of the glasses they designed. 

     

    Before being released in stores, the glasses will be available to preorder from Zoff’s official online store from 11am (JST) on September 20. From the same day from 9pm, there will be a one-hour-long live broadcast where the models will showcase their creations.  A limited number of the glasses will be available to preorder during this live broadcast. 

     

    There is also a lottery taking place with the chance to take part in the Zoff CLASSIC Girls Collection Special Event which consists of two parts: A tea session where you can listen to the girls’ stories on how they produced the glasses and even get some pointers on how to coordinate your look, and a special photography session with the three models.
