My Hero Academia Merch Fair Arrives at Jump Shops Around Japan

Eleven branches of the Jump Shop across Japan as well as the pop-up shop in Tokyo’s AQUA CiTY ODAIBA are set to hold a My Hero Academia themed fair from May 24 to June 9.

 

The theme of the fair is U.A. High School, an academy in the series where students learn and train to become heroes. It will be stocked full of merchandise celebrating the story to date in preparation for season 4 which will begin airing this October.

 

Hero Suits T-Shirt: ¥2,700 (Before Tax)

Sports Towel: ¥1,800 (Before Tax)

Lots of new merchandise will be sold including items with designs and illustrations created exclusively for the fair.

 

Midoriya Shoe Pouch: ¥1,800 (Before Tax)

For every receipt you receive after purchasing any of these items you will get one turn at a game they will have in the store. This game is not running at the Tokyo Station branch of the Jump Shop.

 

And for every ¥500 you spend including tax you will receive one of 21 possible stickers.

  • BLUE ENCOUNT Release My Hero Academia Season 4 OP Theme ‘Polaris’

    Japanese rock band BLUE ENCOUNT released their song Bad Paradox just last week, which serves as the main theme for the Japanese TV drama series Voice 110 Kinkyu Shirei Shitsu. The band was set to hold a free live show at Yoyogi Park on the day of release, but due to unforeseen weather conditions it had to be cancelled. The band instead decided to host a live stream from the studio entitled to B.E. continued earlier this week.

    Their new song Polaris will be used as the opening theme for season four of the ongoing hit anime series My Academia from October 12. The song will be released on CD as a single on November 20.

     

    Limited Pressing Edition and First Press Limited Edition copies of the single are coupled with a DVD which features the full footage of the recent live stream. Details on the CD’s tracklist will be revealed in the near future.

     

    This year marks 15 years since BLUE ENCOUNT first formed and their 5th anniversary since going major. They will head on tour in Japan later this year.

  • My Hero Academia Season 4 Ending Theme ‘Koukai no Uta’ Performed by Sayuri

    It has been announced that Japanese singer-songwriter Sayuri’s new song Koukai no Uta (‘Song of Voyage’) will be used as the ending theme for season 4 of the hit shōnen anime series My Hero Academia.

     

    Sayuri’s first studio album Mikazuki no Koukai was released in 2017, making it to No. 1 on Oricon’s daily album charts and No. 3 on its weekly album charts. She has also collaborated with many artists including with Yojiro Noda of RADWIMPS who wrote and produced her song Furaregai Girl as well with MY FIRST STORY on Reimei.

    The My Hero Academia manga series written and illustrated by Kōhei Horikoshi is serialised in Weekly Shōnen Jump with over 23 million copies in print. Both the manga and anime have proved sensational both in Japan and overseas.

     

    The fourth season’s ending theme Koukai no Uta was written specifically for the anime series. It touches on Sayuri’s journey from the release of her first album until now and the hope for the future that lies ahead of her. The song will hit shelves on CD as a single on November 27.

    Speaking about My Hero Academia, Sayuri comments: “For me, My Hero Academia is a series that protects me, and turns the little feelings inside of me into tangible strength. That’s the kind of thing I wanted to sing about and so I wrote Koukai no Uta. I hope people enjoy it along with the [anime’s] evolving story.”

    Weekly Shōnen Jump manga My Hero Academia (HiroAka) is collaborating with Sanrio!

    The My Hero Academia manga series sold approximately 22 million copies and then got an anime adaptation in 2016. Even a movie adaptation for the first season was released in 2018 and it was a big hit. In October, the brand new season 4 will be released on Yomiuri TV, and Nippon TV. We are also anticipating a new movie release this winter and we know it is going to be just as popular.

    We have just heard the news of a collaborative project between My Hero Academia and Sanrio. Nine HiroAka characters and nine cute Sanrio characters will be paired up, starting with HiroAka’s main character Izuku Midoriya (sometimes known as Deku) and Sanrio’s iconic Hello Kitty.

  • Luffy, Goku & Naruto Visuals Posted for PlayStation®4’s Jump Force Release

    Jump Force was released today in Japan and will be released worldwide tomorrow (February 15) on PlayStation®4.

     

    In line with the release, several new visuals for the game have been put up at Dogenzaka Happy Board at Shibuya Station’s Tōkyū Den-en-toshi Line, Yamamoto Line and elsewhere until February 17 and are also available to see on the Jump Force website.

     Jump Force is a fighting game themed on popular characters from manga series serialised in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump magazines including those from NarutoDragon Ball and One Piece.

  • My Hero Academia Creditless Ending Theme Video Released

    The creditless ending video for the latest season of My Hero Academia has been released officially.

    The ending theme song is titled Long Hope Philia (TV Limited), a specially arranged version of Masaki Suda’s new single Long Hope Philia which is included on the limited pressing edition which was released on August 1.

     

    The song will be used as the main theme song for the forthcoming movie My Hero Academia: Two Heroes which will hit Japanese theatres on August 3. It’s an acoustic arrangement that has a completely different feel from the original. It garnered much attention from fans who haired the song for the first time in the movie trailer.

     

    The creditless ending video can be viewed on the anime’s website and the TOHOanimation YouTube channel. It features series protagonist Deku who is looking out far across the ocean while walking on a sandy beach. The sight of him running with his friends offers a breather from the main show’s developing drama.
