My Hero Academia Merch Fair Arrives at Jump Shops Around Japan

Eleven branches of the Jump Shop across Japan as well as the pop-up shop in Tokyo’s AQUA CiTY ODAIBA are set to hold a My Hero Academia themed fair from May 24 to June 9.

 

The theme of the fair is U.A. High School, an academy in the series where students learn and train to become heroes. It will be stocked full of merchandise celebrating the story to date in preparation for season 4 which will begin airing this October.

 

Hero Suits T-Shirt: ¥2,700 (Before Tax)

Sports Towel: ¥1,800 (Before Tax)

Lots of new merchandise will be sold including items with designs and illustrations created exclusively for the fair.

 

Midoriya Shoe Pouch: ¥1,800 (Before Tax)

 

Bakugo Red & White Manju: ¥1,800 (Before Tax)

For every receipt you receive after purchasing any of these items you will get one turn at a game they will have in the store. This game is not running at the Tokyo Station branch of the Jump Shop.

 

And for every ¥500 you spend including tax you will receive one of 21 possible stickers.

    Japanese cake company Priroll is celebrating White Day in Japan, the ‘sequel’ to Valentine’s Day, in collaboration with the popular TV anime series My Hero Academia with a collection of cakes and macarons.

     

    There are seven sweet cakes to pick from which are baked with fruits such as peach and strawberry and finished with whipped cream or chocolate cream.   • Online Shonen Jump Festival ‘Jump Festa 2021’ Opens App Download and Announces Schedule

    Shueisha announced last month that JUMP magazine’s annual festival JUMP Festa is heading online for ‘Jump Festa 2021 ONLINE’ which will run from December 19, 2020 to December 20, 2020. The application needed to access the festival was finally made available on Wednesday (December 9), as was the timetable.

    Jump Festa 2021 ONLINE App

    The festival can be attended either by download the Jump Festa 2021 ONLINE app (ジャンプフェスタ2021 ONLINE) or by going on the event’s official website. However, certain content is restricted on the website. The festival takes place on Jump Festa Island, a virtual space where visitors can access content related to Jump-related media from the free-to-access library to the theatre, an online shop, and more. There’s also a zoo area, photo spots, and mini games. If visitors use the ‘attend with a friend’ function or chat function, they can also take a special commemorative photo as well as watch the stage performances.

     

    22 Original Art Pieces

    Jump Festa is a celebration of five manga magazine publications by Shueisha: Weekly Shonen Jump, Shonen Jump+V JumpJump SQ., and Saikyo Jump. Each of the five publications have had 22 of their own original characters drawn with original artwork for this online event which people can use as their avatar to roam around Jump Festa Island.

     

    2-Day Stage Events

    42 stage performances will take place on December 19 and 20. Content will include live streams from special guests at Makuhari Messe, videos, and more. There are three virtual stages to watch: the Jump Super Stage, Jump Studio, and Jump Amusement Tower.

    The Jump Super Stage is centred on anime and media adaptations of Jump manga. Performances will be streamed like from Makuhari Messe.

    JF Coins From 24 Jump Series

    On Jump Festa Island, visitors can collect JF Coins from 24 different Jump series from across the five magazines which they can spend on mini games to earn limited-edition items, enjoy the Capsule Character Tower, and more. Some spots also give Rare Coins.

    There and three original mini games to play. Gain a high score and earn one of twelve stamps.

     

    Jump Photo Spots From 24 Series

    Take a photo at one of the many photo spots that recreate famous scenes from 24 different Jump series. Have your character avatar look like they’re part of the scene.

     

    TikTok x Jump Festa Special Collaboration

    This year, Jump Festa is collaborating with TikTok with its own official account as well as original video effects. There will also be a special TikTok LIVE stream in collaboration with the festival before the start date on December 18 at 19:00 (JST).

  • My Hero Academia Themed Puzzle Game to Open in Shibuya in January 2021

    Asobi Factory no Asobiba is a new shop set to open on the 6th floor of Shibuya Marui on January 2, 2021 where visitors can get hands-on and immersed in puzzle-solving games.

    Asobi Factory is a puzzles and goods brand that first began its journey into the puzzle industry in 2011. Since then, it has hosted many interactive puzzle events based on anime series, games, television shows, and more. Its new Asobiba shop will collaborate exclusively with anime and games, offering puzzle experiences as well as selling puzzle goods and merchandise in collaboration with anime series.

     

    Visitors can walk around the shop to enjoy experiencing different puzzle content. And these puzzles aren’t bound to the shop – they will take visitors around the building and outside on the streets too. Puzzles can last anywhere from 1-3 hours, making for a fun day trip.

     

    My Hero Academia features as the first collaboration

    The popular anime series My Hero Academia hails as the first collaboration. The story begins at a hero office where word of an explosion reaches. You take the role of a pro hero take the call to figure out this mystery and head straight to the scene of the crime only to find mysteriously that the first reported explosion goes off in the instant you arrive. People are in a panic, and it’s up to you, Deku, Ochako, and Todoroki to prevent the second blast from going off.

  • JUMP Magazine Announces Online Festival For 2021

    Shueisha has announced that JUMP magazine’s annual festival JUMP Festa is heading online for ‘JUMP Festa 2021 ONLINE’ which will run from December 19, 2020 to December 20, 2020.

     

    JUMP Festa is a celebration of five manga publications by Shueisha: Weekly Shonen Jump, Shonen Jump+V JumpJump SQ., and Saikyo Jump. This year marks its 22nd run, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event is unable to be held in real life and so will be held online for the first time. To enter, you can download the JUMP Festa app or head on over to the event’s official website.

     

    JUMP Festa Island – A Virtual Venue

    JUMP Festa Island is where JUMP Festa 2021 ONLINE will take place, a virtual space where visitors can access content related to JUMP-related media from the free-to-access library to the theatre, an online shop, and more. There’s also a zoo area, photo spots, and mini games.

  • My Hero Academia ‘BOOST UP HEROES’ Merchandise Fair Blasts its Way to Japan in September

    Fans of My Hero Academia in Japan can look forward to the upcoming “My Hero Academia Goods Fair ~BOOST UP HEROES~” event set to take place at 12 branches of the JUMP SHOP in Japan as well as the JUMP SHOP pop-up store at AQUA CiTY ODAIBA in Tokyo, from September 4 to 13.

    The event is a chance for fans to get their hands on exclusive merchandise featuring original artwork of Midoriya, Bakugo, Uraraka, Todoroki, Endeavour, and Hawks.

    Stickers

    For every ¥1,200 (tax included) people spend on merchandise at the fair they will receive a free sticker. A maximum of 6 stickers can be received in a single transaction.

    There will also be character panels displayed at each store as well as photo spots for fans to take a commemorative photo.

     

    A fifth season of the TV anime series is in the works, with no release date yet announced.

  • My Hero Academia Summer Fair to be Held at Animate Stores in Japan

    Animate has announced that it will hold a summer fair centred on My Hero Academia at all branches, as well as its online shop, starting on August 8, 2020.

     

    My Hero Academia is a manga series written and illustrated by Kōhei Horikoshi. Serialised in Weekly Shonen Jump, the series has sold over 26 million copies. A film, My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising was released in December last year and has garnered $28.7 million worldwide as of March 2020. A fifth season of the TV anime series is currently in production.

    Animate’s My Hero Academia summer fair will offer a range of merchandise for fans to pick up. For every ¥1,000 spent on books and character goods, as well as for every CD, DVD and Blu-ray purchased (over ¥1,000), fans will also receive one of the above-pictured postcards taken from the anime series’s fourth season opening video.

    Other merchandise includes acrylic key holders, pins, wristbands, and much more. The fair is also being taken to Animate’s online shop for the duration of its run.

  • The Deluxe Edition of Spike Chunsoft’s fighting game Jump Force published by Bandai Namco Entertainment is set to hit Nintendo Switch on August 27, 2020.

    Jump Force is a fighting game that brings together a roster of over 50 characters from popular series the manga magazine Weekly Shonen Jump such as One PieceNarutoDragon Ball, and many more. The game pits the characters in real world locations like New York and Matterhorn and has players battle it out.

    The new trailer showcases some of the unique gameplay features which Nintendo Switch players will be able to enjoy, such as being able to play six-player local multiplayer games. The Nintendo Switch edition is packaged with the full game plus Character Pass 1 which introduces nine new characters into the long roster.

    Those who pre-order the physical edition of the game will receive three One PieceDragon Ball, and Naruto avatar costumes and Frieza’s pod as pictured below.

  • Nintendo Switch’s Jump Force Deluxe Edition Welcomes My Hero Academia’s Shoto Todoroki

    The popular crossover fighting game Jump Force has been announced for release on the Nintendo Switch in a new version entitled Jump Force Deluxe Edition, coming this year.

     

    What’s Jump Force?

    Jump Force is a fighting game that brings together a roster of over 50 characters from popular series the manga magazine Weekly Shonen Jump such as One PieceNarutoDragon Ball, and many more.


    The game pits the characters in real world locations like New York and Matterhorn and has players battle it out.

     

    Jump Force Deluxe Edition Trailer – Nintendo Switch

    The Deluxe Edition will include all DLC characters from the first Character Pass, a new offline 3 vs. 3 mode, and more.

    A second Character Pass has also been announced which will roll out five new characters. The first of those will be Shoto Todoroki from My Hero Academia. The other four characters have yet to be revealed but will be pulled from Hunter x HunterYu Yu HakuchoBleach, and JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure.

  • Animate’s Shonen Jump Fair 2020: My Hero Academia, Demon Slayer, One Piece & More

    The series of Shonen Jump are set to fall on the Japanese anime merchandise chain Animate as “Jump Fair in Animate 2020” begins on March 19 and will run until April 12.

     

    Fans can expect exclusive merchandise from various Shonen Jump series, as well as original bonus items when they purchase items from Animate stores across Japan. More on these below.

     

    Bonus Items – Batch ①: Jump Fair Selection (Select Items)

    Those who purchase or pre-order any piece of designated merchandise at Jump Fair in Animate will receive one of the pictured cards or other item. You can also get your hands on some of the original Shonen Jump items sold at Jump Festa last year, a popular Shonen Jump festival held every year.

    KANA-BOON’s dropped their new song Star Marker on streaming services on February 1, 2020. 

    Star Marker will be the title song for their new single which is set to be released on March 4, 2020. The song was appointed as the opening theme song for the season four culture festival arc of the worldwide trending anime My Hero Academia. The anime opening-length version of the single and video was dropped on YouTube and has already got 2 million views, immediately reaching the top of the rankings and stirring up a sensation.
