  • Ninjala Dev Diary #4 Details Second Open Beta Test, In-Game Purchases & More

    21.May.2020 | ANIME&GAME

The next Developer Diary for the upcoming multiplayer action game Nintendo Switch™ title Ninjala was released on YouTube and the game’s official website on May 20, 2020. Game designer and writer Kazuki Morishita and director Motoki Kaneda come together once more to give us the latest scoop for the upcoming game.

In the world of Ninjala, players blow bubble gum to craft different weapons and fight using the fighting style of ninjutsu. Players can also transform into nearby objects, and they must use parkour to traverse different landscapes while aiming to take down their opponents.

In the new Developer Diary #4 released by GungHo Online Entertainment, Morishita and Kaneda talk about the in-game currency known as “Jala” which players can purchase via the Nintendo eShop and use to pick up various items from the in-game store. Players can also purchase the “Ninjala Pass,” a season pass which enables players to get their hands on costumes, accessories, emotes, and stickers for their characters for even greater customisation.

A special gum in Ninjala called “Ninja Gum” can be obtained from the Gumball Machine in the in-game shop which allows players to change the appearance of their weapons. The devs stress however that this has no effect in making weapons any more or less better, and this extends to all purchasable content. The game is free-to-play and requires skill to take down your opponent.

Players can also power up their characters by using “Shinobi Cards,” each of which have three additional skills called “Assist Codes” which can power up your character even more.

Be sure to check out the full video for a more detailed breakdown by the devs.

The second open-beta will take place on May 30 and May 31. Check the times and dates below.
