Tokyo Jihen Performs D_CIDE TRAUMEREI THE ANIMATION’s Theme Song

It has been announced that Tokyo Jihen’s song Kemono no Kotowari will be used as the theme song for the upcoming anime series D_CIDE TRAUMEREI THE ANIMATION which is set to air on TOKYO MX and 16 other channels on July 10. The track is taken from Tokyo Jihen’s new album Music.

Tokyo Jihen’s new album Music was recorded over a period of two years. It features 13 tracks including Aka no Doumei which is used as the main theme for the Nippon TV drama Watashi-tachi wa Dou ka ShiteiruAo no ID which is used as the main theme for the film SakuraRyokushu which is used as the ending theme for the TV Tokyo show World Business Satellite, and more.

    Tokyo Jihen released their new album Ongaku (“Music”) on June 9, which is now featured on Spotify Japan’s playlist series Liner Voice+ where bands read the liner notes of their record and talk about it.


    In Tokyo Jihen’s episode for Ongaku, Ringo Sheena, the frontwoman of the rock band, discusses the 13 songs on the record.   • Tokyo Jihen’s New Song ‘Ao no ID’ Announced as Main Theme For Japanese Film ‘Sakura’

    It has been announced that Japanese rock band Tokyo Jihen’s new song Ao no ID will be used as the main theme for the upcoming film adaptation of award-winning author Kanako Nishi’s novel Sakura.

    Kanako Nishi’s novel Sakura has sold over 550,000 copies and won her the prestigious Naoki Prize. The story follows a dog called Sakura and a family of five. The film adaptation is being directed by Hitoshi Yazaki (March Comes In Like a LionStrawberry Shortcakes) and will star young talents Takumi Kitamura, Nana Komatsu, and Ryo Yoshizawa as the siblings and Shinobu Terajima and Masatoshi Nagase as their mother and father respectively. It will also star fresh talent like Yui Kobayashi (Keyakizaka46), Kaho Mizutani, and Kasumi Yamaya.

     

    A promotional video was released for the upcoming film in which you can hear a snippet of the main theme Ao no ID by Tokyo Jihen.

    Sakura will be released in Japan on November 13, 2020.

    Japanese rock band Tokyo Jihen reunited in January this year after 8 years with the release of their new EP News.
