Animate Releases Kuroko’s Basketball’s Shintaro Midorima Merchandise Set

Japanese character merchandise website Movic released a new collection of merchandise based on Shintaro Midorima from the anime series Kuroko’s Basketball at Animate on July 7 which is available for a limited time until August 4.

Kuroko’s Basketball is a manga series by Tadatoshi Fujimaki which was serialised in Weekly Shonen Jump until 2014. The basketball team of Teikou Junior High School basketball team is crowned champion three years in a row thanks to five outstanding players. But after graduating, these teammates, known as “The Generation of Miracles”, go their separate ways and now consider each other as rivals.

 

The merchandise collection includes a cushion cover, leather bracelet, metal pins, acrylic keyring, and acrylic stand with an original illustration of Shintaro Midorima.

  • Kuroko’s Basketball 10th Anniversary Event Coming to Tokyo and Osaka This Summer

    A special event is coming to Tokyo and Osaka this summer to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Kuroko’s Basketball anime series. Fans will want to visit Tokyo in July and Osaka in September.



    Kuroko’s Basketball is a manga series by Tadatoshi Fujimaki which was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump until 2014 and tells the story of a high school basketball team trying to make it to the national tournament. The anime adaptation began airing in April 2012.

  • Kuroko’s Basketball Hanko Stamp Collection Features Character Designs

    Online hanko store Hankos released a new collection based on the popular manga and anime series Kuroko’s Basketball. Hanko are a type of stamp or seal traditionally used in place of signatures in Japan. They are crafted with people’s names and unique symbols.

    The made-to-order collection features images characters which can be coupled with names and Japanese characters of your choice.

    There are 40 characters to choose from, including the protagonist Tetsuya Kuroko, his classmate and friend Taiga Kagami, the all-star team Generation of Miracles, and more.

    There are three fonts to choose from including just a basic Japanese font, a handwritten font, and a cute bubble font. You can choose to have your own name carved on, a nickname, handle name, or even a word in Japanese. You can have a maximum of three Kanji, five Hiragana or Katakana, or 6 romaji characters.

    There are also three designs to choose from including a self-ink type, a wooden type which can be used at banks in Japan, and a black version. Each also comes in an original case with Tetsuya Kuroko, Taiga Kagami, and the five Generation of Miracles.

    The collection is a must-grab for fans of Kuroko’s Basketball. Stamp your favourite character on your notebook, on letters, and everywhere else!

  • Kuroko’s Basketbell Pop-Up Shop to Open in Akihabara

    A Kuroko’s Basketball themed pop-up shop will be open from March 15 to 31 on the second floor of Atre Akihabara 1, a shopping centre connected directly to the JR side of Akihabara Station.

    The shop’s theme is “Canvas With Their Paint” and will feature original merchandise and mini games based on the nine main characters of the series all of who are dressed as painters.

     

    Kuroko’s Basketbell pictures and wall art will decorate the inside of Atre and a special recording of the character Taiga Kagami, voiced by Yūki Ono, will also play in store.
