VR Demon Slayer Ride to Open at Universal Studios Japan in September
Universal Studios Japan has announced the opening of a new XR ride based on the anime and manga series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. Set to run from September 17, 2021 to February 13, 2022, the ride will incorporate the use of VR technology to make guests feel like they are onboard the Mugen Train from the series’ anime film adaptation.
On the ride, riders will see images and voices of the series protagonist Tanjiro Kamado as well as other characters such as Kyojuro Rengoku who is a major character in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train.
Another rollercoaster at the park called “Hollywood Dream The Ride” will also feature Demon Slayer, with fans able to hear the voices of Kamado and Rengoku as if they are all experiencing the coaster together. Two stories will be told across two periods, each featuring comical dialogue.

Japanese sneaker select shop atmos pink has teamed up with model and artist Ibuki Sakai to release two t-shirts at atmos pink stores and their official website.

The installation is a collection of handmade original accessories, stickers, and other items selected by Ibuki. Additionally, those who purchase her artbook at TSUTAYA will receive a paper doll poster, available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Japanese online anime and manga merchandise website Animo is now taking orders for a work shirt inspired by Nezuko Kamado from the anime and manga series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba until July 22.
The front of the shirt features Nezuko’s name in Kanji and romaji while the back features a large embroidered design of the character with the words ‘PROTECT HUMANS!’

Ramen Inspired T-Shirt Collection Cooks Up in Collaboration With Tenkaippin
This year marks the 50th anniversary of Japanese ramen restaurant chain Tenkaippin. To celebrate, they have joined hands with men’s apparel brand MONO-MART to release a collection of ramen-inspired t-shirts in collaboration with Japanese illustrator Isogai Hitohisa. The limited-edition collection dropped on ZOZOTOWN on June 10.

It’s a turning point for us, and so we’ve decided to develop products in collaboration with an apparel brand for the first time. Each t-shirt in this collection is branded with Tenkaippin’s logo along with their ‘KOTTERI’ logo. YOASOBI x UNIQLO UT T-Shirt Collab Collection Releasing This July
UNIQLO’s UT collection is a line of tees created in collaboration with other brands, anime, shows, and more. On July 2, UNIQLO is teaming up with the Japanese music duo YOASOBI to release an exclusive new collection.
YOASOBI, which is comprised of Ayase and ikura, made their debut in 2020 with their hit song Yoru ni Kakeru. Since then, their music has continued to top charts in JApan.
The collection is a fusion of fashion and music in women’s and kids designs featuring stills taken from seven of the duo’s iconic music videos including Yoru ni Kakeru, Halzion, Tabun, Gunjo, Haruka, Encore, and their new track Sangenshoku.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Turns Into Confections at Japanese Convenience Stores
Bandai’s character-inspired Japanese confectionery series Tabemas released a new collection of traditional Japanese wagashi confections and tarts inspired by the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba anime series at Lawson convenience stores across Japan on June 15.
Tabemas Demon Slayer
‘Tabemas’ is an abbreviation of the Japanese words taberareru masukotto, meaning ‘mascots that you can eat.’ It is a Japanese confectionery series that combines well-known characters and Japanese sweets made from ingredients like red bean paste, sugar and rice flour.
Their line-up of three confections are based on Tanjiro, Nezuko, and Zenitsu from the series, each of which captures their charm points in terms of colour and design. Tanjiro is chocolate flavoured, Nezuko is strawberry, and Zenitsu is custard.
