Japanese sneaker shop atmos released its second collaborative collection with GRIP SWANY on July 17 at select atmos stores, their online shop, and at the outdoor wear select shop ORANGE.

The line-up incorporates atmos’ iconic textiles and colouring and is made with Supplex Nylon, the same material that was used for the brand’s gear shorts which sold out last year. It’s soft like cotton and comfortable to wear.


The outdoor collection includes tees, shorts, and a flashlight. The 4WD TEE line-up is part of the T SPEC GEAR outdoor series. They are made from cotton with a big silhouette branded with the logo. The flashlight is LED and is small in size so can be carried around easily. It comes with a cover and strap.

  • Mountain Climbers and Admirers Gather at Mt.TAKAO BASE CAMP Exhibition

    Tokyo sneaker culture brand atmos is now holding an exhibition titled “First steps with Salomon Presents by atmos” until June 20.


    Mt.TAKAO BASE CAMP is a guest house located just 3-minutes on foot from Takaosanguchi Station. Equipped with showers, lockers, and a cafe/bar, it’s a hot spot amongst mountain climbers. It’s there that atmos and Salomon are hosting the exhibition in collaboration with UND, an art duo made up of illustrators FACE and SHINKNOWNSUKE, themed on mountains.


    Visitors are made with a giant piece of UND art at the entrance window of two hikers. They iwll also be handed an exclusive zine which includes a map of Mt. Takao.

    Space Hippie is Nike’s exploratory footwear collection inspired by life on Mars—where materials are scarce and there is no resupply mission. Created from scraps, or “space junk”, Space Hippie is the result of sustainable practices meeting radical design. The uppers are made from recycled polyester, and soles are a combination of Nike’s impact absorbing material used when making their ZoomX foam and material scraps. The plain shoebox, too, is made from recycled materials.


    This new sustainable collection are upcycled designs made in collaboration with atmos, atmos pink, UNDEFEATED, BAI, and X-girl. There’s also a collection of t-shirts which are available on first-come, first-served basis to those who pick up a pair of Space Hippie sneakers. Designs were made by popular graphic artists GUCCIMAZE and COIN PARKING DELIVERY as well as the up-and-coming shop BOTANIZE.

  • Japanese Illustrator Cotoh Tsumi Opens Exhibition in Tokyo

    Japanese illustrator Cotoh Tsumi is now holding a solo exhibition of her iconic artwork at the atmos propeller street branch of Japanese sneaker select shop atmos in Tokyo. The exhibition, which is themed on girls wearing sneakers, is running until May 9.

    Cotoh Tsumi became well-known for creating the visuals for the Japanese music unit YOASOBI. They also created the main visual for the atmos con Vol.8 event held last month and even released a capsule collection. Now, their “q” exhibition is being held at atmos propeller street’s Anicoremix Gallery. The subheading for the exhibition reads, “You understand surface-level cuteness, but if you say you know anything about me, you’re a liar.” The exhibition brings together illustrations from the artist’s archive.

  • Japanese Illustrator Mai Yoneyama Releases Limited-Edition T-Shirts

    To commemorate her exhibition “EGO” exhibition currently taking place at Anicoremix Gallery in Harajuku, Japanese illustrator Mai Yoneyama has released a collection of limited-edition t-shirts in collaboration with the sneaker brand atmos. The exhibition, which is showcasing many of Yoneyama’s works, is running until April 14.

    Japanese sneaker select shop atmos is releasing new models of the M5740 sneakers in collaboration with New Balance on March 20. The models take inspiration from the beachside.

    The sneakers take New Balance’s iconic 574 models which were first released in the 80’s and add a 90’s wave design to create a next generation of models.   • Columbia Sportswear x atmos Launch Capsule Collection

    Columbia Sportswear, a brand that since launching in 1938 is known for its originality and innovation in outdoor clothing, has teamed up with the sneakers brand atmos to release a Spring & Summer 2021 collection at most atmos branches across Japan as well as via their online store and ZOZOTOWN. The line-up will also be made available at select Columbia Sportswear branches in Japan from March 12 as well as on their website.

    Additionally, the brands have teamed up with BE@RBRICK to release two T-shirts branded with the brand’s instantly-recognisable bear in the same print. The T-shirts are installed with Columbia’s Omni-Shade technology that protects the wearer from UV.

  • Japanese Clothing Brands #FR2 and atmos Reveal New Collaborative Collection

    To celebrate their 20th anniversary, sneaker select shop atmos is has teamed up with streetwear brand #FR2 to release a special new collection that combines both brands’ logos. The line-up will be released in Japan on October 3, 2020.

  • A.T.A.D: Harajuku’s New adidas Store to Open in Collaboration With atmos

    adidas Japan is collaborating with atmos—Tokyo’s streetwear and sneaker focused boutique—to open a new shop called A.T.A.D in Harajuku on December 20, 2019.

    adidas Japan has collaborated with countless artists to date, and this will be its first with atmos, together with whom it will showcase streetwear sneakers the likes of which people have never seen.

    A carefully selected line-up of adidas’ newest shoes will be displayed at the counter where customers order their shoes like they would a drink at a bar. They can pick the model, colour, and size, and can try them on before making a purchase. The current designs, logos and other items in the store were created by YAR, a creative studio spearheaded by Japanese graphic artist YOSHIROTTEN.

    The store also plans to sell items exclusive to A.T.A.D in collaboration with Japanese artists. More information will be posted on the store’s official Instagram page.

    adidas Originals is teaming up with atmos―the purveyors of Tokyo sneaker culture―to release the new collaborative DEERUPT RUNNER ATMOS models. They drop on November 10.

    This new pair of bright-red sneakers features a grid design and is made with a completely new structure with Deerupt Runners as the base.

    The uppers and mid soles use a stretchy mesh to cover the sneakers. The light and comfortable insoles follow in the footsteps of a foam pocket. The iconic three stripe logo of adidas can also be seen through the mesh.

    The golden tips of the shoelaces bring a sophisticated tinge to the overall design.
