On June 16, the girls’ vocal and dance group ATARASHII GAKKO! released OTONABLUE – From THE FIRST TAKE on streaming services.   Originally released in 2020, OTONABLUE has become incredibly popular over the past year, with its ‘neck-dance’ choreography trending on TikTok. With views on the social media site surpassing 2.5 billion, a music video was thrown together and released, pulling in over 20 million views in two months.  

 

On April 7, ATARASHII GAKKO! performed a special version of OTONABLUE on THE FIRST TAKE, commemorating their first time on the program with new choreography. Filmed in a single take, their appearance pulled in 20 million views in record time, becoming the channel’s most popular video of 2023. This special live version is now available to stream.

 

Atarashii Gakko! took to the stage on THE FIRST TAKE for the first time. The members performed their hit song Otonablue, which has become a major hit on social media for its unique choreography during the chorus.

  Since its release, Otonablue has continued to be a hot topic, with the live performance video racking up over 8 million views on YouTube and related TikTok videos pulling in over 400 million views.

 

Takuma Usa appears in the new YouTube short drama series Sarashiai, Konna Yoru wa Dare no Sei? (Exposed Love: Who’s to Blame for a Night Like This?)   The romance-focused ensemble drama touches on a wide array of difficult subjects found in today’s society, like adultery, sugar daddies, plastic surgery, friends with benefits, doxxing, betrayal, and redemption.   Takuma Usa, who portrays the host Tsukasa, appears in the third episode.  

Singer-songwriter Eve has announced his biggest ever arena tour, Eve Arena Tour 2023 Kororon, along with a key visual. This will mark the artist’s first tour since the Eve Live Tour 2022, which also merited an additional performance at Nippon Budokan in August 2022. The arena tour will be held for two days at Osaka-Jo Hall in Osaka on August 19 and August 20 and at Pia Arena MM in Kanagawa on August 26 and August 27.

 

Eve has also released a limited edition jacket for his new Bokurano EP scheduled to be released on March 22, 2023. The EP contains the track Bokurano, the opening theme for the currently-airing season of My Hero Academia. The jacket art is an original drawing by the anime production company BONES.

 

All first edition copies of Bokurano will include a code that can be used to enter the lottery to snag tickets to the Eve Arena Tour 2023 Kororon.

The sixth opening song for the anime series My Hero Academia, Bokurano, was added to all major streaming services on January 8, 2023. The track is performed by popular artist Eve.

  Eve, a longtime fan of My Hero Academia, claims that the episodes in the second cour of the sixth season hold a “special place” in his heart. “The song Bokurano was created to inspire our favorite battered heroes, pushing them to overcome their hardships together,” he said. The track features Eve’s signature fast-paced guitar along with the singer's powerful voice and sensitive lyrics. Up-and-coming music video creator niL, who previously worked on Eve’s Yuseiboushi, provided the jacket art   In the second cour of the sixth season, the protagonist Izuku Midoriya will face the aftermath of the deadly battle seen during the Paranormal Liberation War Arc. The opening shows Deku with an entirely new aura and fans are sure to be shocked by how the series progresses!

Popular singer Eve has released the music video for White Snow on his official YouTube channel. The track is being used as the theme song for the film Black Night Parade which opened in theaters on December 23, 2022.   The music video was created by Haruka Fujita, known for her work on the Violet Evergarden anime series and film. CloverWorks helmed the animation production, and viewers will be pulled in by its natural landscapes and captivating characters. The live-action film will be directed by Yuichi Fukuda, who has worked on several live-action film adaptations of manga series including Gintama and Kyo Kara Ore Wa! Fukuda also wrote the screenplay along with Tetsuo Kamata. The protagonist Miharu Hino will be played by Ryo Yoshizawa. Shino Hojo will be played by Kanna Hashimoto. Taishi Nakagawa will play Kaizer Tanaka and Keisuke Watanabe will play Teppei Kohira.
