Shibuya Mark City is teaming up with Hello Kitty to host the “Shibuya Mark City Valentine’s Campaign” which will run from January 16th to February 14th.
The campaign will celebrate the season of love with original Hello Kitty creations, ‘Gotochi Kitty’ panel exhibitions, a Hello Kitty greeting event (February 12th), a lottery to win Hello Kitty merchandise, and leaflets will be handed out for ‘Gotochi Kitty × Gotochi Menu.’
During the campaign, the 4th floor avenue will be decorated with original Shibuya Mark City Gotochi Kitty, as well as Gotochi Kitty from around Japan. Gotochi Kitty are Hello Kitty products themed around local tourist attractions in Japan.
The various Gotochi Kitty will have “I love you!” displayed on them in the dialect of each region so that you can let that special someone know. A photo spot featuring Shibuya Mark City’s original Gotochi Kitty will also be available for you to snap a picture.
A one-day Hello Kitty greeting event will also be held on February 12, 2018. You’ll be able to have you photo taken with Hello Kitty, give her a handshake and receive some chocolate. Details below.

The campaign will also hold a lottery for people to win Hello Kitty merchandise by purchasing select items from select stores (except restaurants).
If you spend ¥1,000 or more with tax included, you will receive one stamp. After collecting 3 stamps, people will be selected from those that have signed up for the lottery and given Hello Kitty merchandise or a ¥3,000 spending voucher for Shibuya Mark City (up to 150 people).
After agreeing to the terms and conditions on the form, deposit it in the application box in Shibuya Mark City.

Mika Pikazo is an illustrator and character designer. The artist has designed characters for many popular titles including Fire Emblem Engage, the latest in Nintendo's Fire Emblem series, as well as book covers and CD jackets.Starting December 10, the artist will hold his second solo exhibition in three years at the Hz event space in Shibuya.According to a press release, the exhibition is being held to show a number of creations Pikazo has made recently, and aims to show off new animation and past illustrations to merge his past and future selves. The creator hopes to challenge himself more going forward.The first main visual, REVENGE, can be seen on the exhibition’s official website. A total of three visuals have been newly drawn for the event and will be released sequentially. In addition, a number of collaborative works with other creators will be on display, so art fans won’t want to miss out.Limited-edition merchandise featuring new illustrations will be on sale at the venue, and autograph sessions are planned to be held. The show features a new theme each month and currently features a jazz band.October’s theme is Happy Halloween Party, and visitors can listen to a number of famous songs while enjoying tasty and healthy dishes packed with autumn flavors.
