17.February.2018 | FOOD / SPOT

A restaurant complex which is known as the “show case” of the latest culture scene/dining scene of Tokyo was opened in Roppongi.

One step into this restaurant and you will find an open dining lounge surrounded by big “wall art” works. The walls are used as a big canvas by many creators and artists from both Japan and abroad and you can enjoy eating fresh and highly diverse menu items.

Sofa seats, community counters and individual rooms are installed inside the dining space. The dining space can be used as a meeting space/exhibition space/event space. Also, a hair salon where hair artists offer suitable styles for each customer is located beside the dining lounge. It can be said that the space is a “highly diverse” show case.

The foods they offer is “relaxing and comfortable food” produced by a food creator who gained on-the-job training in Australia. To this is added the essences of many countries. They offer menus for vegans and vegetarians too. Below are some examples of their menu items.

“Cajun Chicken Stew Set” 2,300 yen (tax not included)

A chicken boiled in a spicy tomato-based Cajun sauce including chili peppers and oregano. The menu goes well with beer.

“Seafood Kofte (seafood & meatball) set” 2,500 yen (tax not included)

A kofte (meatball) that includes meat, seafoods and vegetables cooked with herbs and spices. The menu comes with a delicious sour/sweet sauce made of coconut sugar and nampla.

“Satsumaimo no Falafel (croquette made with sweet potato and spiced vegetables) Set” 2,300 yen (tax not included)

A falafel including sweet potato and a thick flavored/sweet tahini sauce (sesame paste). It is a heavy vegan menu which comes with a homemade soy yogurt made of fresh herbs and soy bean milk.

Let’s enjoy this space where the latest culture of Tokyo and restaurants are combined.
