Dig into the Toro Nama Chocobaum by cake specialists Sennen no Ki!

17.April.2018 | FOOD / SPOT

Sennen no Ki is a shop that specialises in Baumkuchen – a type of round cake that originates from Germany. There are currently three Sennen no Ki shops in Chiba prefecture and their best-seller is the Toro Nama Chocobaum, which sold more than 30,000 in just one year!

In order to commemorate this, Sennen no Ki will be launching an all-you-can-eat plan at their shop in Kimitsu. The plan offers customers 60 minutes to eat as much cake as they like. There is a variety of 15 Baumkuchen. The plan is called the “Sweets Baumkuchen Tabehoudai Plan” and will start on Wednesday 18th April 2018.

This luxurious plan allows customers 60 minutes to eat 15 different kinds of Baumkuchen. The variety includes, of course, their most popular cake “Toro Nama Chocobaum”, as well as the “Toro Nama Tiramisu”, which is a fusion of Baumkuchen and Tiramisu, and the “Toro Nama Matcha”, which is a matcha mousse Baumkuchen decorated with matcha sauce.

Sennen no Ki’s famous secret lies in their original Baumkuchen. They use a special original two-step recipe. Their most popular product, the Toro Nama Chocobaum, of which more than 30,000 were sold, are prepared by hand and baked so that once it enters the mouth, the syrupy texture can be enjoyed along with melt-in-the-mouth mousse. Packed with luxury, there is a deep accent to the chocolate fondue coating.
