It was announced on Yoshiki’s official Nico Nico Channel page on September 15 that Attack on Titan’s season three opening theme song Red Swan by YOSHIKI feat. HYDE will be released on CD on October 3. The two CD covers were also unveiled and can be seen below.
The single will be released in two editions: the cover of the YOSHIKI feat. HYDE Edition features a bewitching image of a swan and woman bathed in red while the Attack on Titan Edition showcases Eren and Levi with a swan splayed behind them in a crimson background.
A special website has also be opened for the song.
Red Swan was performed live for the first time by Yoshiki and Hyde on Music Station Ultra Fes 2018 on September 17. Yoshiki will also appear as a guests at Hyde’s Halloween Party 2018 Supported by XFLAG which is set to take place at Makuhari Messe on October 28, while Hyde will appear as a guests at Yoshiki’s show YOSHIKI CLASSICAL 2018 taking place at Tokyo International Forum in November.

New details for the Attack on Titan and Tobu Zoo collaborative event which was announced last month have been released. The event is set to run from July 14 to October. Let’s take a look at the latest news.
Original Illustrations Original character designs have been specially drawn for this event. Fans can look forward to seeing main character Eren together with Levi dressed as animal handlers, as well as characters dressed up as animals. Panel Showcase There will be life-sized cardboard cutouts of characters from the series, as well as a photo spot recreating the event’s key visual. There will also be boards of the characters disguised as zoo animals. Life-Size Exhibition Expect to see a giant 4-meter tall balloon head of the Colossal Titan, life-sized figures of Eren and Levi, and more. There’ll also be a display of the Maneuver Gear that the humans use when taking down the Titans. Red Swan, the opening theme for the new season of anime series Attack on Titan, was showcased on YOSHIKI CHANNEL on July 20 where it was announced the song would be released officially under the artist name YOSHIKI feat. Hyde instead of the previous X Japan feat. Hyde.
On the show, both members expressed their consideration for all the fans while explaining the song was still in production. They said they had a lot of choices at their disposal when making the song, and although it took a lot of time due to traffic regulation, it turned out to be an amazing song. The complete track will be released on August 2018. Yoshiki spoke about Red Swan which came to life during a bout of hardships. "How do we move forward in this world? What's that extra oomph that's needed when making the best song ever, or the best album? That's what I'm thinking frantically. How long can I fight for in this life? When will the time come when I can say myself, 'You've done well'?" Red Swan appeared on the show ahead of the anime's broadcast as well as on Yoshiki's official Instagram page. He also surprised fans with a piano performance of the song as well as expressed his gratitude to the X Japan members, Hyde, and the production team behind Attack on Titan.
The moment Yoshiki posted the clip on his Instagram page, fans flooded the comment section, expressing their happiness for him reconfirming his love for the members, being touched by his gratitude towards Hyde, being moved by him taking it upon himself to take full responsibility for worrying people, and so on. The third season of Attack on Titan began airing on July 22. The third season of popular anime series Attack on Titan made its world premiere at Anime Expo 2018 in Los Angeles where it was announced X Japan performs the opening theme for the newest entry to the show.
The song is titled Red Swan and features long-time friends Yoshiki of X Japan and Hyde of L’Arc~en~Ciel. It will be released digitally worldwide and will also receive a CD release this fall from Pony Canyon. This is the first new song from X Japan since La Venus (Acoustic Version) which was featured in the soundtrack of the movie WE ARE X (2016). It is also the first new single since BORN TO BE FREE which was released digitally in November 2015. It will also be their first CD release in 20 years since THE LAST SONG, X Japan’s 18th single that dropped all the way back in March 1998. The original Attack on Titan manga was first published in 2009 by Kodansha. As of July 2018, there are 25 volumes in the series which have sold over 74 million copies. The announcement of this collaboration evoked huge cheers of excitement from the crowd. Rock group BAND-MAID has been chosen as the opening act for THE LAST ROCKSTARS' first live concert in the U.S., THE LAST ROCKSTARS Live Debut 2023 Tokyo - New York - Los Angeles, starting February 3, 2023.
THE LAST ROCKSTARS' U.S. shows in New York on February 4 and Los Angeles on February 10 are sold out. Reaction to the group has been incredible, leading to an additional New York show on February 3. To make things even more exciting, BAND-MAID will perform at all three U.S. shows. THE LAST ROCKSTARS (Paris Mix) Music VideoBAND-MAID has become overwhelmingly popular around the world. In the United States, the band recently performed at AFTERSHOCK FESTIVAL 2022, one of the largest music festivals in the country. They also served as a supporting act for GUNS N’ ROSES during the legendary band’s Japan tour in November. This year, the group will once again perform at a selection of music festivals in the states, including Sonic Temple 2023 in Ohio and Welcome to Rockville 2023 in Florida.
This time around, BAND-MAID will perform as the opening act for one of the most impressive rock bands in recent memory. THE LAST ROCKSTARS is composed of YOSHIKI, HYDE, SUGIZO, and MIYAVI, making it a superband like no other. This will be the first time the newly-formed group will perform in the U.S.

It has been announced that Attack on Titan The Final Season will split its third part into two halves. The first half will begin airing on NHK General starting March 3 at 24:25. The second half will air sometime during 2023 with more details to be revealed in the future. Prior to this, a special compilation of all 87 episodes will be aired on NHK General from February 25 to February 27. Every episode of Attack on Titan that has aired to date will be condensed into seven episodes.
A new trailer has been released ahead of the beginning of Part 3 inspired by the phrase “This is Freedom.” Fans will see Eren smiling as a child, a vast difference from the man he grows to be. The despair in the video is palpable, but there is still some hope being kept alive by the characters. Finally, to commemorate the third part of The Final Season, fans will be able to watch episodes from the series for free on the streaming service GYAO! starting January 17.
