Japanese mobile phone operator NTT Docomo is currently collaborating with the iconic Takeshita Street of Harajuku until March 14. The collaboration has proven so popular that select items sold out within just a few days.
A promotional video was released on February 21 in line with the restocking of sold-out items. The commercial, titled Harajuku no Uta (“The Song of Harajuku”), features 8 store participating in the collaboration.
The video features singing from Sonoko Inoue, Kaito Takahashi, Ikkyu Oyasumi, Mossa, Masaru Yumeya, and SymaG promoting Marion Crepe, Candy・A・Go・Go, SPINNS, Pearl Lady, Purikura LAND NOA, WEGO, Totti Candy Factory, and Rainbow Pancake. The Hoshi Puro characters Donimal, Cosmof and Monjuro also lend their voice to some intense singing.
Enjoy seeing the latest crepes, candy, bubble tea, clothing, pancakes and more coming from Harajuku right now. The 3-second clip of Marion Crepe took a whopping one month to make! The one second simulation of 1,000 pieces of candy falling onto Takeshita Street was actually carried out too.
There are lots of little things to discover in the video so be sure to check it out for yourself!
