SALON BAKE & TEA in Shinjuku released its new 30cm tall parfaits on February 26. The Parfait au Fraise is an all-new cherry blossom flavour inspired by springtime while the Parfait au Printemps is a spring edition of the restaurant’s strawberry parfait.

Both desserts are made with tarte tropézienne, a dessert named by French actress Brigitte Bardot while she was filming And God Created Woman (1956) at a pâtisserie which served it.

Left: Parfait au Fraise – ¥1,800 / Right: Parfait au Printemps – ¥1,800

The Parfait au Fraise contains a selection of strawberry flavoured ingredients such as ice cream, jelly and panna cotta. These fruity treats are to be enjoyed together with the crunchy pie and streusel.

The Parfait au Printemps is a colourful array of ingredients inspired by the blooming flowers of spring. It’s piled refreshingly with mango and orange panna cotta, pink grapefruit, lemon flavoured granita.

Tuck into these delicate delights together with one of the restaurant’s great teas or coffees.
