Tokyo Disneyland’s Main Entrance to Undergo Rennovations

09.May.2019 | SPOT

The western side Tokyo Disneyland’s® Main Entrance is set to undergo renovations with an estimated completion date of spring 2020. The Main Entrance has been welcoming guests since the park first opened in 1983.

It serves as both an entryway and exit point to the park and is where guests can purchase tickets. The new renovations will ensure smoother entry for guests as well as better access for prams and wheelchairs. It will also introduce the park’s first ever face authentication system to check the identity of those with yearly entry passports.

Guests will also now be able to purchase tickets using ticket machines which are set to be operational in July 2019. The machines offer services in Japanese, English, Traditional and Simplified Chinese, Thai, and Indonesia, allowing for foreign guests to purchase tickets easily.

Direct entry for those who have purchased a Disney e-Ticket via the Tokyo Disney ResortⓇ app will now be available meaning they don’t have to line up. The app enables guests to purchase park tickets for family and friends all at once. A new “Disney Fast Pass” is also being introduced this summer, as well as a new car park at the end of July this year.

There’s no better time to plan a trip to Tokyo Disneyland® than this summer!
