Weekly Shōnen Jump manga My Hero Academia (HiroAka) is collaborating with Sanrio!

The My Hero Academia manga series sold approximately 22 million copies and then got an anime adaptation in 2016. Even a movie adaptation for the first season was released in 2018 and it was a big hit. In October, the brand new season 4 will be released on Yomiuri TV, and Nippon TV. We are also anticipating a new movie release this winter and we know it is going to be just as popular.

We have just heard the news of a collaborative project between My Hero Academia and Sanrio. Nine HiroAka characters and nine cute Sanrio characters will be paired up, starting with HiroAka’s main character Izuku Midoriya (sometimes known as Deku) and Sanrio’s iconic Hello Kitty.

Each of the nine HiroAka characters, who overflow with originality, have been matched with a Sanrio character. To really deliver the uniqueness of each character pair, Sanrio designers have carefully crafted each design especially for the fans.

The designs will be given to a range of makers from apparel to stationery and even general goods. Further updates on this collaborative project will be posted on Twitter. It has been announced that there will be advanced sales of these collaborative goods in July 2019 at Tokyu Hands. To find out more, please visit the special website linked below.
