The doughnuts are part of Mister Donuts “misdo meets” series which first began in 2017 to combine the highest quality ingredients and techniques to in order to bake up the best possible doughnuts. This time, it has joined sticky bakers fingers with the popular Begian chocolate brand Pierre Marcolini to create a new kind of fondant chocolate doughnut and danish. The line-up is made with high quality authentic chocolate and has a bitter kick to it – perfect for those who aren’t into sweeter treats. The heart-shaped danishes are also spot on for the Valentine’s season in Japan.

Floresta Nature Doughnuts, a doughnut cafe that hand-makes doughnuts using organic ingredients, is baking up Hello Kitty and Dear Daniel doughnuts this Christmas from December 11 to 25. They will be served in-store at be available to order online in Japan.

Both ring-shaped doughnuts are covered in a chocolate coating with Dear Daniel’s made with organic matcha and Hello Kitty’s with strawberry powder made from strawberries grown in Japan. These two doughnuts are naturally sweet and are the perfect kawaii treat to indulge in for this year’s Christmas in Japan.

Hoshino Resorts Tomamu, Hokkaido’s top snow resort where you can stay, has announced that this year’s Ice Village will open from December 10, 2020 to March 14, 2021.

Ice Village opens up at Tomamu in wintertime only and has done so every year since 1998. It boasts 3.2 hectares of land and houses 10 enormous igloos to create a little village of ice. At its lowest, the temperature there can drop to -30°C which is what works the magic behind the Ice Village.

Many events around Hokkaido have been cancelled this year as a result of the pandemic, and so Tomamu has decided to remain open to both guests and non-guests while operating under strict countermeasures against COVID-19. This way, people can still enjoy the wonderful winter season of Hokkaido. This year sees the opening of the Ice Milk Cafe and Ice Fruit shop in the Ice Village where they can order a variety of food and drink to take out onto the Ice Terrace. There’s even the Ice Hotel and Ice Chapel.

The one-meter tall Ice Milk Bottle lets visitors who order a glass of Ice Milk at the Milk Cafe draw fresh Tomamu Milk which has a distinctly deep flavour during winter. You can also mix the milk on an ice sheet to create gelato.

Mister Donut Japan revealed last month that it is set to team up with Pokémon this winter with a special campaign starting on November 15. Before then however, from November 13, the doughnut chain will be releasing the “Mister Donut Chansey Christmas-chu Collection” of doughnuts and merchandise.

Four new Vulpix and Alola Vulpix Poké Lids are set to be placed in Hokkaido which will bring the total number in Japan’s northernmost prefecture to 19. The new covers will be laid in the cities of Tomakomai and Mikasa and the towns of Kamifurano and Kembuchi.

They are part of Japan’s ongoing Poké Lid project to place Pokémon manholes around the country. All of the Poké Lids placed in Japan feature completely original Pokémon designs making each individual one the only one in the world. The Pokémon Company is also working to make each one of them PokéStops for Pokémon GO.

Tottori Prefecture recently added Sandshrew and Sandslash covers.

Mister Donuts Japan is releasing five limited-edition doughnuts as part of their Pon de Chocolate series of doughnuts. Three of those flavours will be available from November 6 and the other two from December 26.

Hoshino Resorts OMO7 Asahikawa recently finished decorating their new polar bear themed hotel rooms which opened to guests today (November 1).

The official Asahiyama Zoo signboards which are all hand-drawn by the zoo staff every spring will be displayed in the rooms. The hotel worked together with the zoo to be able to produce more for Hoshino Resorts OMO7 Asahikawa.

The boards feature stories and information about the various animals housed at the zoo in Japanese. Perfect for if you’re staying at the hotel and are planning to visit the zoo.

Mister Donut Japan is teaming up with Pokémon this November as it launches “misdo Pokémon,” a campaign that celebrates the 50th anniversary of the company and includes the release of limited-edition doughnuts, original merchandise, and more.

This marks the third year of misdo Pokémon, and this year, they’re upping the Pika-fun.

This year sees the return of the popular Pikachu and Poké Ball doughnuts , both of which have been made even more breathtaking and delicious, including turning the Poké Ball delight into a fully spherical shape like the real thing.

The company will roll out even more Pokémon doughnuts throughout the campaign. Stay tuned for updates.

Floresta Nature Doughnuts, a chain of shops that sell delicious doughnuts that are healthier to your body than regular doughnuts, is collaboration with popular Sanrio characters Cinnamoroll and Cappuccino for some adorable Halloween doughnuts.

Halloween arrived at Krispy Kreme Doughnuts in Japan on September 16 with the “monster HARVEST” collection of themed doughnuts. Available until November 1, the spooky lineup incorporates a selection of Japanese autumn flavours like pumpkin and purple sweet potato.

The doughnut collection is here to put us in the Halloween spirit nice and early. Krispy Kreme Japan’s popular jack-o’-lantern doughnuts are back this year, as are the new black cat doughnuts which first arrived last year. A completely new purple sweet potato flavour was also introduced to the menu on September 1.

Sapporo Factory is set to welcome an exhibition themed on the popular TV anime series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba from October 17 to November 8 this year.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is a manga series by Koyoharu Gotouge serialised in Weekly Shonen Jump. The popular series has over 80 million copies in circulation and spawned a hit anime series last year. The upcoming anime film Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train set for release on October 16, 2020 will serve as a direct sequel to the 2019 anime series and is being animated by ufotable.

The exhibition will look back over the anime series to date, as well as the upcoming film, which will be released the day before the exhibition starts. Fans can expect a variety of exhibits at the event, from video content to artwork, as well as exclusive merchandise.

Tickets go on sale in Japan on September 15 at 17:00 via Lawson. The first round of tickets will be allocated to random people who sign up.

Mister Donut Japan began holding its “Ouchi de MISDO HALLOWEEN” Halloween event on Friday which features five different doughnuts.

The event has its own story which imagines five cute Halloween creatures who have jumped out of their Jack-o’-lantern home and into Mister Donut to bring smiles to everyone on Halloween. Let’s take a look at each doughnut.
