Kenshi Yonezu is set to release his new single Peace Sign on June 21st, the song famed as the second opening theme to the hit anime series My Hero Academia. To celebrate the single’s release, Yonezu sat down to have a chat with Kohei Hirokoshi himself, the creator of My Hero Academia. That talk has been made public and is available to read (in Japanese) over on the anime’s official website below.

The talk has to do with Yonezu and the opening theme itself, as well as everything else surrounding it. Hirokoshi reveals how he was actually already a fan of Kenshi Yonezu, and likewise Yonezu talks about how he really loves “My Hero Academia.” It’s a dialogue between two creators of the same generation that both have mutual respect for each other.

Be sure to listen to “Peace Sign” while reading it.
