eill to Release First Major Album, ‘PALETTE’

Singer-songwriter eill will release her first major album on February 2, 2022.


The singer made her debut in 2018 under SPACE SHOWER MUSIC and is currently under Pony Canyon. Her track Koko de Iki wo Shite was the ending theme song for the popular Tokyo Revengers anime series, and a number of her songs have been used in various drama series. 


As the title of the album ‘PALETTE’ suggests, this release is a mixture of eill’s unique tracks. More information is coming soon.


The jacket cover for the new album has also been released and features a photo of eill herself showing a sad but determined look. 


‘PALETTE’ will be released in two formats: CD only, or a CD and Blu-ray combo. The Blu-ray will include footage from eill’s 2021 Live Tour performance at Zepp Diver City held on August 13, 2021. Preorder specials at specific stores have also been announced, so check the official website for details.


eill will also be touring in Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka in 2022 for her BLUE ROSE TOUR.

  • Bullet Train Boy Band Celebrates 10th Anniversary with Coming-of-Age Ceremony Broadcast

    The five-members dance and vocal group Bullet Train will hold a special 10th-anniversary broadcast exclusively on Hikari TV on January 14, 2022. The ‘Bullet Train Coming-of-Age Ceremony’ will also be archived after the scheduled broadcast at 18:00, but only for a limited time.

    Bullet Train celebrated its 10th anniversary on December 25, 2021, and will spend 2022 celebrating with plenty of special events and releases. In Japan, the Coming-of-Age ceremony is held when an individual turns 20 years old and celebrates a person becoming an adult. The members of the group will speak about the last decade of their lives as idols, and will hold a live concert as well! The show will be available exclusively for those with access to Hikari TV nationwide, and an edited version of the event–including behind-the-scenes footage–will be streamed at a later date.   • Tokyo Revengers Anime Series Announces Production on Christmas Showdown Arc

    Announced on December 18, the Tokyo Revengers anime series will adapt the Christmas Showdown arc. The series will once again star Yuuki Shin as Takemichi Hanagaki, Yuu Hayashi as Manjiro “Mikey” Sano, Masaaki Mizunaka as Keisuke Baji, Shō Karino as Chifuyu Matsuno, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Takashi Mitsuya, Shunichi Toki as Kazutora Hanemiya, Yukihiro Nozuyama as Ryohei “Peh-yan” Hayashi, and Takuya Eguchi as Shuji Hanma.

     

    Christmas Showdown Arc Teaser Trailer

     

    Along with the anime announcement, Tokyo Revengers will also be getting a smartphone game. A teaser website and the game’s official Twitter account have been launched, and a mysterious countdown has begun.

     

    The Tokyo Revengers stage play ‘Bloody Halloween’ will be coming to Osaka from March 18 – March 21, 2022, and to Tokyo from March 25 – April 3, 2022. For more information, check out the official website and Twitter page.

    This new track is a remix of Yung sticky wom’s HEART EMOJI, originally released on October 27. Up-and-coming rapper Only U makes an appearance along with iconic performer MANON on this incredibly catchy track.

  • Tokyo Revengers Anime Special Event Visual Unveiled

    A special event for the wildly popular Tokyo Revengers anime series will be held on December 18, 2021. The first visual for the event has been released!

     

    The new image shows Takemichi, Chifuyu, Peh-yan and the founding members of the Tokyo Manji Gang taking a well-deserved break. Takuya Eguchi, who plays the role of Shuji Hanma, will make an appearance during the evening show. Along with the members of the Tokyo Manji Gang, members of Valhalla will be present too, so it’s sure to be a wild time. 

     

    Exclusive merchandise will be sold at the venue, and pamphlets featuring cast photos and special interviews will be handed out. Good luck charms will be on sale, with many seen in episode 22 of the anime series. 

     

    Tickets went on sale December 1 and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Eve to Stream New Track ‘Aisai,’ Releases Cover Image

    Eve will release his new song Aisai on December 3 at midnight on all major streaming services. 

     

    The singer-songwriter performed the explosive Kaisen Kitan, the first opening theme for the Jujutsu Kaisen anime series. The track has been streamed over 200 million times and the music video has been watched over 180 million times. With over 3.5 million subscribers on YouTube, the singer has become a viral sensation with other tracks like Parallel Lines and Faint at Night. Eve’s new track Aisai is incredibly emotional and is the perfect song to bring 2021 to a close.

     

    The cover for the new song was made by niL, who worked on the music video for Yuseiboushi. Be sure to stream the song on December 3!

  • Award-Winning Track by Producer Kirai Hiiragi to be Performed by Kyoko Saito at MTV VMAJ 2021

    The MTV Video Music Awards Japan 2021 will air on December 18, 2021. The show has already awarded a new special prize, the Daisy Bell Award, to popular Vocaloid producer Kirai Hiiragi for the song Love ka? For the event, Kyoko Saito from Hinatazaka46 will perform the song live. 

     

    The Daisy Bell Award is a special prize for songs created using voice synthesis software and was made after Vocaloid tracks began to shape the musical landscape more and more. With the support of ‘The VOCALOID Collection Powered by dwango,’ an event to further develop Vocaloid culture, nominees were selected from the top-ranked songs in the Vocaloid Collection in Winter 2020 and Spring 2021. Love ka? was the clear winner. Kirai Hiiragi quickly responded by simply saying “Thank you for the award, I’m so happy. Is this real?” 

     

    Kyoko Saito, who also sang as a guest vocalist for Ryokushaka at the MTV LIVE MATCH in October, will perform the track. As the diva of the idol group Hinatazaka46, she is known for her incredible singing ability, and expectations are high. Don’t miss it!

  • Okinawan Gen-Z Pop Singer Grace Aimi Releases Debut Album

    Born in the year 2000 to an American father and American-Okinawan mother, Gen-Z pop singer Grace Ami released her 12-track debut album on November 26. The album is comprised of both new tracks and some previously available on streaming services and was produced by Chaki Zulu. Along with the release, a teaser for the Karaoke Queen music video was uploaded to YouTube, with the full video scheduled to be released on December 6.

    Aimi began her career by starting a YouTube channel with her younger brother. As they began posting covers to popular songs, their popularity on social media grew, and in 2020 Grace Aimi released Eternal Sunshine. She is now signed to Capitol Records US and constantly experiments with new sounds and genres, jumping between gospel R&B to rock and rap and goth-pop. Her creativity and individuality are making her a unique addition to the Japanese music scene, and she’s definitely someone to keep an eye on!

     

    Originally from Okinawa, Grace believes that her hometown has been essential to her sensibilities as an artist. “My home island was devastated during WWII, but the people there are beautiful and genuinely happy. I hope to share that Okinawan spirit with everyone,” she says. 

  • D4DJ Unit Lyrical Lily Releases Third Single ‘Adventure King!’

    Lyrical Lily, an all-female DJ group from the D4DJ franchise, has released their third single titled Adventure King!

     

    The D4DJ (Dig Delight Direct Drive DJ) project is a multimedia franchise created by Bushiroad, consisting of live DJ performances, a smartphone rhythm game, and a 2020 anime series. Lyrical Lily is a DJ unit that “blossomed” from an elite private school, and the group’s genre could be described as a mix of House and Synthpop. The unit’s producer is Kou Nakamura, who also created the original story of D4DJ. 

     

    Adventure King! has the typical Lyrical Lily sound, mixing the member’s cute charms with a painfully catchy melody and voices as sweet as candy. The coupling song Sleeping Beauty highlight’s the group’s excitement about their journey to the top of the charts.
