“Tokyo Typo Store” is a project set up to redefine and recognise anew kanji characrters by designing them in graphic and illustrative prints on clothing.

This brand puts kanji in a new spotlight to bring out a new kind of charm and appreciation from them by giving them a contemporary and stylish make-overs for various fashion items.

The theme for 2016 was “sports,” but the new theme for 2017 is “Japan.” Tokyo Typo Store have selected fitting kanji in line with this theme and framed them in their own original designs.

The brand focuses on t-shirts, sweaters, caps and headbands, among others, all fittingly made in Japan.

The t-shirts by Tokyo Typo Store are all original, all the way down to the way they thread them. The thread itself is domestically produced, enabling them to sew every little detail with the utmost attention. The designs are also very durable for washing.
