“Kotatsu Ressha” (kotatsu train) will begin winter service.

 “Yomeishu (healthy herb-filled alcohol) Kotatsu Ressha” is a collaborative event of “Kotatsu Ressha” and “Yomeishu” which will offer services from the 16th of December 2017 (Sat.). Reservations can be made from the 16th of November. (A kotatsu is a table with an electric heater attached to the underside of the table.)

Many people who used to reside in the Sanriku area are moving to big cities in recent years. Therefore, “Yomeishu Kotatsu Ressha” will start service so that they can create a cheerful topic and introduce the charms of the Sanriku area to many people.

 

Brief overview of the collaborative event, “Yomeishu Kotatsu Ressha”

“Yomeishu Kotatsu Ressha” was born under the concept of “warming up the passenger’s body and mind with Yomeishu, kotatsu and delicious food of the Sanriku area. The train is filled with original “Yomeisyu Kotatsus.”

Moreover, many events will be held such as an event where local traditional demons called “Namomi” which punishes lazy people and bring luck will appear and an event where the train comes to a stop at a wonderful landscape.

Also, Yomeishu is now holding a gift campaign coupled with “Yomeishu Kotatsu Ressha.”

They produced 15 bottles of “Yomeisyu Kotatsu” which is a premium special-order item.

Serviceperiod: 2017,12,16 to 2018,01,14 (Saturday, Sunday and holidays)

※Yomeishu Kotatsu will not be available from 01,01 to 01,05.

※During this service period, Kotatsu Reshha will run as a charter train a few times. On such runs, Yomeishu Kotatsu seats will be switched to usual kotatsu seats.

Kuji 16:32 (arrive) ← Miyako 14:40 (depart) (Kotatsu Ressha will run once per day)
