Tokyo Ghoul Compilation Album Compiled by Manga’s Author Sui Ishida Announced

The Tokyo Ghoul:re manga ended in July this year with 37 million copies of the series in print as of December 2018. The final episode of the anime adaptation also aired on December 25.

In recent news for the franchise, it has been announced that an album featuring select music from the series will be released. Titled Tokyo Ghoul AUTHENTIC SOUND CHRONICLE Compiled by Sui Ishida, the album will drop on March 27, 2019. The record draws a line under the anime series up to now. It is described as edgy and conceptual, featuring special curation and direction from the manga’s author Sui Ishida.


Tracks include all 8 opening and ending themes from Tokyo GhoulTokyo Ghoul √A, and both seasons of Tokyo Ghoul:re. First press copies include a bonus disc that features a playlist of songs that inspired Ishida to request each music artist to get involved with the anime.


The album comes with a CD jacket illustrated by Ishida. Full details surrounding the content of the album have yet to be announced, but first press limited editions will be limited in pressing. Pre-orders are now open.
