Winter 2016 Cat Punch Gloves from Felissimo come with adorable new details
27.September.2016 | Uncategorized
Whether you’re swiping at a mobile game or making a point, these cats keep their paws on your finger everywhere you go!
If you love cosying up to warm snuggly cats during winter, you’ll love slipping your hands into these limited edition kitty gloves from Felissimo. Last year, the Japanese retailer released their first set of cat-adorned mitts, with each one featuring the long tail of a feline extending down the forefinger, but for this year’s winter release, they’re using cat paws for the pointy finger, which means that kitties now get to reach out and curiously grab or swipe at everything you do too!
Kenshi Yonezu’s new single was released digitally on August 12―ahead of the CD release which is set for September 11. It serves as the main theme for the TBS Sunday drama No Side Game for which it has drawn a great deal of attention. The track has raked in 165,000 downloads on Oricon’s digital single ranking (for August 26) and has taken the No. 1 spot on Billboard Japan’s download song charts with 172,000 downloads, making it the song with the most number of downloads in the first week in 2019.
New details have been released on Uma to Shika, including the unveiling of the CD cover art, and the different editions it will be released in.
As with most of Yonezu’s releases, the cover art of the new single was illustrated by the singer-songwriter himself. It will be released in three editions: the “No Side Edition,” “Video Edition,” and “Regular Edition.”
The “No Side Edition” comes in pure white packing, decorated in silver leaf and manufactured in a way so that it feels like leather. The disc is printed with a picture label on it. The whistle-shaped pendant is made from metal and coated in a white matte while the string is white leather. And the whistle isn’t just for show―it actually works too. The illustration itself is a mix of of a horse (uma) and deer (shika) which is the name of the single.
The “Video Edition” opens up like a book to reveal a CD and DVD both with picture labels on them. The DVD features a teaser of 11 songs covering 18-minutes taken from Kenshi Yonezu’s “Sekisui ga Opal ni Naru Koro” 2019 tour. It also includes the music video for Umi no Yuurei.
All three editions come with application cards for a chance to get pre-sale tickets to Kenshi Yonezu’s “HYPE” tour which will begin in February 2020 and take him to 10 cities for 20 shows. Pre-sale sign-up ends on Sunday September 15.
When bought at select stores, all CDs will come with a special leather wristband. These are available on a first-come, first-served basis at each store.
The single’s “No Side” and “Video” editions are both limited-edition, so you’ll want to put your orders in quick if you want a copy.

Bubble Tea Gourmets THE ALLEY to Open Flagship Store in Shibuya’s Dogenzaka District
Tea enthusiasts THE ALLEY are opening a flagship store in Dogenzaka, Shibuya on September 14, 2019.
THE ALLEY’s main customers are women and office workers. It’s custom for people to go out for a cup of coffee with friends and coworkers, but THE ALLEY hopes to bring that same idea of “grabbing a coffee” to tea with their drinks line-up. Located at the top of Dogenzaka, the new branch aims to make tea even easier to enjoy while embedding a culture of tea.
Enjoy a drink between shopping or work in one of their 73 comfy seats spread across two floors, or grab a takeaway cup to sip.
“THE ALLEY x thermo mug” 300ml Tumbler – ¥3,500 (Before Tax) / “THE ALLEY x thermo mug” 300ml Stainless Steel Bottle – ¥3,500 (Before Tax)
The cafe has also teamed up with thermo mug to create a seriously stylish tumbler and stainless steel bottle. Both are limited in availability, and if you do decide to grab one, you can get a coupon for one free drink of your voice. They are perfect for using at home, out or at the office.
THE ALLEY is known for its three tea bases: Assam, Royal No. 9, and Jasmine. But the new Dogenzaka branch will have two extra exclusives. The first is White Peach Oolong which originally appeared as a limited-time flavour and in the cafe’s milk foam series. It’s now a regular at the new cafe. The other is Tieguanyin, a premium oolong tea, whose sales ended in May this year. Due to high demand, they are bringing it back to THE ALLEY Dogenzaka and plan to put it on the menu of other branches in the future.
The cafe has also incorporated paper straws to help combat the use of single-use plastic straws. This includes their thick straws used for tapioca bubble tea drinks and ordinary thin straws for their regular teas.
THE ALLEY Dogenzaka marks the cafe’s move from a tea stand into a full-fledged tea shop. If you’re in Shibuya, be sure to pay them a visit when they open on September 14.

4 Must-Try Kawaii Aesthetic Tapioca Drinks in Aichi Prefecture
Japan is a haven for bubble tea and tapioca-based beverages. Here on MOSHI MOSHI NIPPON we have covered many stores selling these tasty drinks in Harajuku―the town which started the tapioca boom in Japan―but today we will be heading southwest of Tokyo to Aichi Prefecture, located in central Honshu Island, to look at 4 must-drink tapioca drinks.
We are joined by meme whose Instagram page is packed full of drinks and desserts from cafes across Japan.
The Flower Table in Sakae
Located inside the MITSUKOSHI shopping complex in Nagoya’s retail and entertainment district Sakae is The Flower Table. I absolutely recommend this store for those who aren’t good with sweet drinks as you can choose between having sugar or no sugar.
Your taste buds are hit by the flavour of the milk tea on the first sip which has a bite to it. The tea leaves used by the shop in this drink are from Kusumi Tea, a Paris-based premium tea brand.
If you’re someone who likes chai then this taste is sure to tempt your palate. Not only does the milk tea taste exquisite, the tapioca pearls are sweet and satisfyingly chewy too. And let’s not forget to mention their adorable takeout cup designs!
▼The Flower Table

Official Website: https://theflowertable.owst.jp/en/
BON CAFÉ in Sakae
BON CAFÉ can also be found in Sakae. I had heard lots of praise about this place before my first visit so I was eager to get in there. I ordered two drinks: the mango cream cheese tea (with cream and tapioca pearls) and the brown sugar milk tea (with tapioca pearls). It’s hard to tell by the photos but both drinks are packed with tapioca pearls aplenty.
I’d heard before that the mango cream cheese tea was like a “dessert that you can drink,” and I can confirm that it’s true. It’s topped with fresh cream and pearls so it’s just as satisfying as a mango parfait.

Peripatos in Kita-Okazaki
Drinks at Peripatos are takeout-only. Their bottle designs are cute and simple with just a kitty illustration on them. The three drinks in the photo are Very Berry, Tropical, and Hazelnut & Caramel Sauce with coffee jelly.
The tropical drink has pieces of fresh mango in it while the Very Berry has fresh strawberry and chewy strawberry flavoured tapioca pearls in it. My friend ordered the Hazelnut & Caramel one which has coffee flavoured jelly in it instead of tapioca pearls. You sip it while crushing the jelly.
The shop interior is really cute too!

Opening Hours: [Mon-Tues & Fri-Sat] 11:00-21:30 / [Thurs & Sun] 11:00-18:00

Watashi to Cafe in Kariya
At Watashi to Cafe I ordered the strawberry milk tapioca drink. The pearls in this drink are strawberry flavoured too, and there’s a lot of them making is super tasty. The glasses they come in are cute too.
They also sell beautiful herbarium-like drinks. These don’t have tapioca pearls in them but I recommend these too!
