Artist Natsuki Kawanishi has been chosen to perform the theme song for the short drama and anime series Shinya Yuuki Exposed at Night ~The Dark Secrets of a Counselor for the Families of Murder Victims~, set to premiere on August 7.
The original work was chosen as the winner out of 132 entries in a contest calling for short drama and animation drafts based on the theme of ‘dark heroes.’ The story follows the main character, Shinya Yuuki, who painfully lost his mother and works as a counselor specializing in helping the families of murder victims. In secret, he also works as a dark hero who punishes evil criminals who try to escape the law.
The theme song was written by Natsuki Kawanishi herself.

Natsuki Kawanishi
Born in 2002, Kawanishi is a singer-songwriter from Nara Prefecture. She began her career as an artist in 2020 and has gained a large following for her natural and relatable personality and her heartfelt vocals found in ballads, pop songs, and everything in between.
Since 2022, she has been performing live on the street every week in her hometown in Kansai. These live performances have attracted a lot of attention, especially on TikTok, and Kawanishi has amassed over 320,000 followers on social media.
Starting in 2023, Kawanishi will move her activities to Tokyo, where she will continue to wow audiences with her gentle voice and unique perspective on life.
