Seven recommended cafes/restaurants in Shinjuku which open from early morning

Shinjuku is a convenient area to visit and there are many tourists from foreign countries walking around from early in the morning. In this article, I will introduce to you some cafes/restaurants that offer breakfast service.


Tribeks Odakyu / Century Southern Tower

The buffet at Tribeks is recommended for those of you who want to eat a big breakfast. The café is located on the 20th floor of Century Southern Tower and you can enjoy the Western-style breakfast buffet including omelets and waffles while watching the beautiful view. The omelet they offer is a recommended menu item since they use made-in-Japan, farm-fresh eggs.

DEAN & DELUCA / Shinjuku LUMINE Shop


“DEAN & DELUCA” is a bakery which is popular for its products’ look and taste. You can enjoy eating foods at the comfortable eat-in-space and they have lots of food menu items. Muffins using whole-wheat flour and 100% smoothies are recommended for those of you who want to eat healthy food.

Dashi Chazuke (rice with green tea) / En Shinjuku Odakyu Ace Store

This menu item is recommended for those of you who want to enjoy a Japanese-style breakfast. It is a healthy chazuke with special broth and all menu itmes cost around only 500 yen. Side dishes and pickles will come with your order.

Francois LUMINE EST B1

Francois located at B1 of LUMINE EST is opened from 7:00 on weekdays. The café is convenient to use as a meeting place since it is close from Shinjuku East Exit. The morning menu they offer costs between 500 to 600 yen and their delicious soft/crispy textured paninis (ham, chicken and hamburg) has hot cheese inside.

Café La Voie inside Kadoya Hotel

Café La Voie which aims to have the best tasting breakfast in Shinjuku is located on the first floor of Kadoya Hotel. You can choose from 3 kinds of “morning sets” including Japanese-style and Western-style depending on your mood. Their all out “Japanese breakfast” is highly recommend.

KAYU-SANCHIN Shinjuku Kyoo Mall Store


Chugokugayu (Chinese rice porridge) is a nice breakfast which has lots of vitamins in it. The okayus of KAYU-SANCHIN use “Hitomebore”(rice brand) produced in Iwate Prefecture. Lots of ingredients are included in the product and you can enjoy different tastes by adding several kinds of flavoring materials such as black vinegar, okayu sauce and hot sesame oil. It is a cheap morning set which costs below 500 yen (only on weekdays).




KAYU-SANCHIN Shinjuku Kyoo Mall Store

This store which is opened 24 hours, offers delicious coffees and light meals. You can enjoy three kinds of morning sets (830 yen) from 6:00 to 11:30 from Monday to Saturday. You can choose either bread or rice and the set comes with salad, a sunny-side-up egg and dessert (ice cream). Their menus items are recommended for those of you who want to enjoy a unique breakfast.
