And if you order the “1 Day Free Mug” over in the merchandise corner, you can get all-you-can-drink coffees from their ‘variety’ selection!
At LATTEST, you can look forward to enjoying a live atmosphere as baristas extract espressos and create latte art. The stylish interior is pleasant and will calm your mind. The drinks menu features strong-ish espresso coffees.

Taiwanese Model Kimi Visits Harajuku’s Tourist Spots in a Kimono
Hi there, Shiota here. I’m the director of the MOSHI MOSHI BOX, the official Harajuku Tourist Information Center.
A routine activity done often when travelling to places like Kyoto and Asakusa is to dress up in a kimono and walk the streets. In fact, quite recently the number of kimono rental stores in Harajuku has been on the increase.
Today, immensely popular Taiwanese model kimi (紀ト心) is going to take us to see some great kimono spots around Tokyo.
If we’re talking kimono rental in Harajuku, then look no further than the MOSHI MOSHI Kimono Salon!
This spot is located inside the MOSHI MOSHI BOX Harajuku Tourist Information Center and offers a diverse range of kimono, from vintage wears to the kind of colourful garbs you’d expect to see in Harajuku. Whatever it is you’re looking for, you’ll be able to find it here.
The kimono that kimi chose has small dots against red cloth. Since she’s a huge cat lover, the obi she picked was love at first sight.
She left her hairstyle to the hair and make-up staff in the shop. A simple change of hairstyle made for a more glamorous feel.
With her style complete, kimi’s cuteness took on a slightly more adult, mature look.
Well, without further ado, let’s head on out to the streets of Harajuku!
Ura-Harajuku photo spot as seen on social media and TV
The first place kimi visited was the famous wall art that is popular right now. To find it, head down the street between Murasaki Sports and New Balance located along Meiji-Dori and walk to the end.
kimi was a little hungry, so while on her way to see the wall art she stopped off at the ice cream shop Doubutsuen on the left-hand side of the street. She bought an electric bulb soda along with some sweets that are all the rage right now in Harajuku.
We couldn’t fit every kawaii photo of kimi into the article as there are just too many, but you can find them over on her Instagram page so be sure to check them out as you read on.
Taking a chill stroll along Yoyogi Park avenue
The next place she headed to was Yoyogi Park located next to Meiji Shrine. The park is famous for its very beautiful scenery; in spring the cherry blossoms flourish and in autumn the ginkgo trees shine.
When we shot these photos, it was period when the leaves on the ginkgo trees fall. The sheet of yellow that stretches to a horizon was out of the world. There’s benches dotted all around the park, so you can relax if you need a break from walking in your kimono.
Tōgō Shrine is right next to the tourist hotspot that is Takeshita Street
You wouldn’t believe that Tōgō Shrine is situated in the middle of Harajuku. Despite being around the hustle and busy of the busy town, time flows quietly and calmly here. It’s also diagonally opposite to the MOSHI MOSHI BOX.
It’s beautiful in the daytime, but its sacredness elevates when you see it lit up at night. Weddings are held here, so if you’re lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of a bride in traditional Japanese wedding attire.
Did you enjoy your trip with kimi? If you’re thinking of renting a kimono in Harajuku, then be sure to use this article as reference. And if you’re lost or can’t find your way, then pop into the MOSHI MOSHI BOX. We’d be happy to help you!

Harajuku Lunch Guide: Cafés & Restaurants Recommended by MOSHI MOSHI BOX Staff (Part 1)
Hi, everyone. I’m Shiota, and I’m the Director at the MOSHI MOSHI BOX Harajuku Tourist Information Center. Are you ever stuck on where to eat lunch in Harajuku because everywhere’s too busy? I’m always unsure.
So today, the knowledgeable staff at the MOSHI MOSHI BOX will recommend some great locations for lunch they have been to where you can enjoy a bite to eat.
Ruki’s Recommendations – Spanish Staff
Head down the road located between Murasaki Sports and New Balance along Meiji-dori. You’ll find a clothes store called WOMB on the left. Head up the stairs next to it to find Natural Stance. It has a welcoming atmosphere and is very relaxing. You can go there just for a drink or you can fill your belly with a meal. The desserts are delicious too!
cafe STUDIO can be found in the same building as the Adidas shop along Meiji-dori. Kick your feet up and relax on one of the sofas inside, or if you’re in a rush, you can order for takeout. Best of all, they even have Free Wi-Fi!
bills – Omotesando Harajuku
“bills” needs no introduction – they serve the world’s best breakfast. The lines to get in get particularly busy in the afternoon, but you won’t have to wait long if you go in the morning. You can find it on the seventh floor of Tokkyu Plaza at Harajuku crossing. Their famous pancakes are definitely delicious, but they have a hefty selection to choose from on the food menu. And the terrace seats feel great when it’s sunny!
Bio Ojiyan Cafe
Walk down the street between Murasaki Sports and New Balance near the MOSHI MOSHI BOX and make a right at the Family Mart convenience store. There, you’ll find Bio Ojiyan Cafe on your right. All the items shown the signboard look amazing, but even with the standard, set items on the menu, you’ll be spoiled for choice since there’s so much to choose from.
Check out Shiota and Ellie’s trip to this cafe for more details: https://www.moshimoshi-nippon.jp/67375
Did you enjoy this list? If you’re planning a trip to Harajuku, keep it with you so you can find great a place to eat lunch.

6 Cafés Open Early in Harajuku—Begin Your Day Luxuriously with Breakfast
Hi, everyone. I’m Ellie, and I work at the MOSHI MOSHI BOX Harajuku Tourist Information Center.
Relaxing in a café with a cup of coffee in the early morning – days off like these are true happiness, aren’t they? The truth is, shops in Harajuku open a little late, so there aren’t many places that open in the early hours.
I’m going to recommend to you several cafés in Harajuku that open in the morning and serve breakfast. Be sure to stop by any of them before you begin your day’s shopping.
BURN SIDE ST CAFÉ
This café is a 6-minute walk from Harajuku Station and is filled with an American-style atmosphere. They don’t have a morning menu, but they’re open at 9:30 on weekdays and 8:30 on weekends and holidays, so you can still enjoy your morning with their regular menu. A popular item on the menu are their soufflé pancakes. They’re fluffy and just melt in your mouth. There’s a range of different types you can choose from, from pancakes with seasonal fruits to a tiramisu-style pancake. Why not try finding your favourite?
This Harajuku bakery & café is open from 8:30. They have Free Wi-Fi and electrical outlets, making it a great spot for getting some work done in the morning. The bakery serves lots of take-out food, and the breakfast menu has an assortment of toast, French toast and bread. You can get any of these as a set with a drink and salad. With its bright, Southern France style interior, this is a nice place to enjoy your morning.
Bills – Tokyo Plaza Omotesando Harajuku
Bills serve the world’s most famous breakfast. This branch can be found about 5-minutes’ walk from Harajuku Station on the seventh floor of Tokyo Plaza. Tokyo Plaza is closed in the morning times, but the elevator up to bills is functional. They have a big selection on their breakfast menu. I recommend the ricotta cheese pancake. The honeycomb butter smells sweet on the fluffy and moist pancake. Their specially-made scrambled egg is also exquisite and just melts on your tongue. The world’s best is right here, so be sure to experience it.
Bread, Espresso &
“Bread, Espresso &” is a café and bakery 5-minutes’ walk from Omotesando Station and 15-minutes’ walk from Harajuku Station. This place has immense popularity and has people lining up outside in the morning before it opens. Their popular menu item is the French toast they serve, which is only available on weekdays in the morning and at teatime. The French toast is thick, the outside is crunchy, and the inside is soft. It’s known to even sell out very quickly, so you’d best be up early if you want a bite.
Eco Farm Cafe 632
This café and bakery has earned a reputation for its menu which uses vegetables grown at the company’s own plantation. Seating 150 people, this place is spacious, and offers a calm and quiet environment that will have you forgetting the tumult of Harajuku. Their breakfast menu includes croissants, toast and pancakes, all of which you can have with fruit and salad, and depending on what you order, you can also get bacon, sausages and other things too. You can also choose a drink to make a set at ￥630, such as their own blend of coffee. Their breakfast menu is great because you get at a cheap price.
Revive Kitchen Three Aoyama
Enjoy healthy cold pressed juice made with carefully selected organic ingredients and nutrient-rich meals made with original recipes at this place. They also have things like gluten-free pancakes, so this one’s recommended for people looking to be healthy.
I hope you enjoyed this list. Start your wonderful day with a nice breakfast.

15.March.2020 | FOOD
Shiseido Parlour, a pioneer of Japanese-style Western cuisine, has announced that it is opening its new restaurant and lounge Shiseido Parlour The Harajuku on the 8th floor of WITH HARAJUKU, a shopping centre located in front of Harajuku Station in Tokyo, on April 25, 2020.
Goshu no Sosai With Seasonal Ingredients
Shiseido Parlour The Harajuku breathes new life into the Japanese-style Western cuisine that has been cultivated in Ginza for 100 years, serving up a new prix fixe-style fixed price menu that elevates the taste, smell, and appearance of the seasonal ingredients used, from a Japanese way of thinking. This food can be enjoyed with a glass of one of the main wines selected by the restaurant’s sommeliers, high-quality tea, and more.
Meals are enjoyed even more by the view offered at the restaurant, where you can see shrine groves of Meiji Jingu Shrine.
Forest Dinner (Chef’s Recommendation) – ¥12,000 (Tax Included)
The design concept for the restaurant interior is forests. The restaurant promises a relaxing atmosphere like that of being wrapped amongst the mighty trees of the woods, the cool air blowing, and the rays of the sun spilling through the trees.
The interior design was created by Kazuya Ura, a Japanese architect who was involved with the building plan for the Kyoto State Guest House. The restaurant lounge features glass art on the wall which captures the image of sunlight filtering through the trees. This was created by Japanese glass designer Ikko Itabashi.
The chic red lounge offers a view of the garden terrace and faces the direction of Akasaka. Tuck into appetisers and desserts and enjoy sipping on a drink. This is a great place to sit after your meal or for meeting up with someone.

Gorgeous Bridge Ready To Embrace A New Shopping Complex Under Its 100-Year-Old Arches This Year
10.February.2020 | SPOT
JR East Urban Development Corporation’s new project for a new shopping complex to be built under an old bridge is underway. The old viaduct bridge, which stretches around 300m from Yūrakuchō station to Shimbashi station, has a history of 100 years. Its beautiful old brick arches will soon be home to HIBIYA OKUROJI, which is set to be completed by the end of June this year.
The project will utilise the spaces under the arches of the bridge that have supported the railway tracks for the Tōkaidō Main Line and Tōkaidō Shinkansen high-speed railway for many years. Located in the depths of Hibiya, the bridge will soon be home to a new neighbourhood full of culture. Once complete, HIBIYA OKUROJI is sure to attract even more people to nearby neighbourhoods such as Ginza, Yūrakuchō and Shimbashi.
Aiming to create a little “town” with its own culture, the shops to reside at HIBIYA OKUROJI will be full of originality, creating a wonderfully interactive environment. There will be 16 shops and 28 restaurants. Some restaurants to look out for include Nagoya’s eel restaurant Unafuji, which is known for its long queues, and COOK BARN TOKYO, which makes dishes with ingredients sourced from Ibaraki. The shopping complex will also be home to a number of Japanese fashion brands including the handmade necktie shop KUSKA & THE TANGO from Tango, Kyoto, ivy league fashion brand VAN SHOP, trainers brand Panther, and outdoor wear brand finetrack.
The name HIBIYA OKUROJI comes from the words “oku” (inside), which refers to its location away from the centre of Hibiya and Ginza, and “roji” which means “alley”, which signifies its hidden location under the bridge’s arches. The two words combined form the word “OKUROJI” to entice adventure-seekers to come discover the unique secrets hidden in the new area. The name surely has a ring of excitement to it and of course, the 100-year history of the characteristic bridge is even more of a mood-setter.
If you’re looking for an exciting and unique adventure of discovery to satisfy the curious traveller in you, the new HIBIYA OKUROJI shopping complex is a sure way to provide a fully satisfying day trip.
To open around the end of June, 2020
Address: 1-7-1- Uchisaiwaichō, Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo
