Are You a Ghoul? Discover Your Kagune at the Rc Scan Gate in Shinjuku Station!

23.July.2017 | SPOT

In support of the upcoming release of the live-action “Tokyo Ghoul” movie, a project is being set up at the Super Premium Set inside Tokyo Metro Shinjuku Station where you can experience the “kagune”, the predatory organ of a ghoul that are used to make quinques – powerful weapons used in battle.

The story of Tokyo Ghoul is set in Tokyo where creatures known as “ghouls” live out their lives posed as humans and must survive by feeding on the flesh of other humans. One day, a college student by the name of Kaneki (Masataka Kubota), an ordinary and shy boy, becomes half-human and half-ghoul due to certain events. He is forced into the world of ghouls and must consider his humanity in this world.

Protagonist Kanki and the other ghouls all use their “kagune” when feeding or fighting. Kagune are made up of Rc cells, which are cells that run through a ghoul’s body. They are also known as “liquid muscles”. There are 4 different types of Rc cells: ukaku, koukaku, rinkaku, and bikaku, and each ghoul has one type of these cells.

You can now experience being a ghoul yourself under the supervision of the Commission of Counter Ghoul (CCG) and find out which of the 4 kagune you wield. Fans of the series will recall the Rc Scan Gate. At this event, you will get to pass through it yourself, and those identified as a ghoul will stand in front of a monitor to find out their kagune!

Those pictures of those authorised as ghouls will be pinned up for everyone to see, and you can also receive a free print yourself to take home.

Are you a ghoul disguised as a human? Do you have what it takes to survive out there? Immerse yourself in the world of Tokyo Ghoul even more at this special event.
