Kenshi Yonezu took the charts by storm in 2018 breaking many records with his hit single Lemon. He also released his double A-side single TEENAGE RIOT / Flamingo.

While continuing to ride this wave of success, it has been announced that Yonezu will embark on his first arena tour starting on January 19. He will perform 16 shows across 8 locations and wrap up at Makuhari Messe on March 11.

Two overseas shows have also been added to the tour schedule. He will hit up the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai on March 19 and National Taiwan University Sports Center in Taipei on March 30.

Yonezu has built a strong fan base outside of Japan. Shanghai and Taipei are two particularly popular places where he has kindled a fire. This will mark the singer’s first trip to perform overseas.

In line with his success in Asia he also set up an account on the Chinese microblogging website Weibo on December 26. Despite having not yet posted, he garnered 220,000 followers in just 2 days. As of January 7 he has over 240,000 followers and has been tagged 83 million times. On the same day he changed his icon and posted for the first time. He will continue to post along with his staff regarding his upcoming overseas performances.

His success and popularity is only set to surge from here on.
