Suchmos Release Live Video Of Their Live Anthem Song ‘MINT’

Suchmos have released a live video of their popular song MINT which has garnered the title of ‘live anthem.’

 

The video is a compilation of three years’ worth of footage from the band’s live performance, including backstage shots, from the extra show on their “TOUR MINT CONDITION” tour at Yokohama Bay Hall in 2016 to their “THE LIVE YOKOHAMA” concert at Yokohama Arena in 2018.

It also features footage of the band in their early days stating their desire to perform at Yokohama Stadium. That dream is becoming a reality this year as they are set to perform there on September 8. The second round of pre-sale tickets are now on sale on the band’s official website.

    Sakanaction have announced that they will play in Shanghai and Shenzhen at the end of June. Upon unveiling the news the band created their own Weibo account, a Chinese social media platform. The rock band will release their new album 834.194 in June, their first album release since sakanaction was released 6 years ago in March 2013. The Asia dates were added to their ongoing Japan tour. This will be their second set of headline concerts outside in Japan since they performed overseas for the first time back in 2013 in Taiwan.   • Suchmos Release New Album ‘THE ANYMAL’ on YouTube Music Premium & Announce Live Stream

    Japanese rock band Suchmos just released their new album THE ANYMAL digitally on YouTube Music Premium on March 27. The band has also revealed they will perform the album live on YouTube on March 29 from 22:00 (JST).

     


    Suchmos has also teamed up with YouTube to begin promotion for the album as part of the streaming platform’s “Artist Promo.” This promo is held worldwide with which artists such as Dua Lipa, BTS, Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello have even been involved. It will take place outdoors for one month from April 1 in Shibuya, Harajuku, Yokohama and the Tōkyū Tōyoko Line.

     

    Social media promotion will also take place. Fans can get involved by posting the hashtag #SuchmosYouTube along with a comment about the album. Select comments will be chosen to appear in Shibuya on an outdoor advertising billboard in the near future.

    Suchmos will drop their third studio album THE ANYMAL next week on March 27, 2019. In the run up to its release, the rock band has released the music video for the record’s lead track In The Zoo.

     

    The song incorporates rock and blues and is a slice of Suchmos’s current outlook. It states that we are all just animals battling reason and instinct. The song became the deciding factor the album’s title, THE ANYMAL.

  • Download the lead song from Suchmos’ 3rd full album “THE ANYMAL” now!

    Since their debut, Japanese rock group Suchmos has been speeding through their careers. Finally, the contents of their third full album “THE ANYMAL”, which will be released on Wednesday 27th March, has been announced.

     

    Their third album took more than a year to make. It has been two years and two months since the breakthrough of their second album “THE KIDS”. Starting with “WATER”, which was one of the first songs on the album to be released, the band created a total of 12 new songs; all with a daredevil theme. The song “Kawarazu ni iru tameni, kawari tzuzukeru” personifies their current position.

     

    To celebrate the new album release, Suchmos announced their arena one-man-live show that will take place in November. Many music distribution services such as iTunes have now started to stream Suchmos’ new songs such as “In The Zoo”, which inspired the name of the album title.

    To add to all this exciting news, the album jacket photo has also been released!

    In addition, the first press limited edition DVD version of the album includes a story movie based on “THE ANYMAL” called “Join Us And Go Somewhere Nice”. This was created by photographer Takayuki Okada, who was the first person to make a recording in Suchmos’ style. You can take a sneak peek at this movie on YouTube!

     

    There are two versions of this album; the first-press edition (CD + DVD) and the standard edition (CD).     Six-member Japanese rock band Suchmos have released a live music video for their song VOL-TAGE.

     

    The video features live footage of the song taken from the band’s performance at Yokohama Arena on November 24 and 25 this year. Titled Suchmos THE LIVE YOKOHAMA, the shows were a huge success. Young video creator Kento Yamada―a sworn friend to Suchmos―worked on the video.


    The second round of early-bird tickets for the band’s first arena tour are now on sale. The tour is set to begin in March 2019.

On the first day, the rock band unveiled that they are set to perform at Yokohama Stadium on September 8, 2019 for another solo concert they are naming Suchmos THE LIVE. The band, who are originally from Yokohama, have looked towards perform at the venue since their formation, and they are finally delivering that promise to fans.

     

    They also announced they will release their third album next spring.

     

    Regarding the forthcoming performance at Yokohama Stadium, the band commented: “We’re going to play this huge place [Yokohama Stadium] to our heart’s content. All of this [we have right now] is the greatest, but it might not be enough. We’re looking forward to seeing how we feel standing on that stage as the days continue to change. We want to make it a day to show our gratitude to everyone we have met.”

     

    Suchmos will embark on a new arena tour in March next year.

  • Suchmos Drummer OK Directs First One Shot Film for ‘FUNNY GOLD’

    Suchmos have released a one shot film for FUNNY GOLD, the band’s first ever love song that featured on their mini album THE ASHTRAY which was released back in June.

    The film was directed by the group’s drummer OK marking his first ever directional debut. It features the kind of expressive nature made possible only by someone who was involved in the song’s writing process. OK also helped on the visuals for FUNNY GOLD‘s CD cover as pictured above.

     

     

    In line with the film, Suchmos also released a playlist entitled Suchmos Winter Song 2018 across major streaming platforms including Spotify.

     

    Early-bird tickets for the group’s 2019 arena tour went on sale on November 5 and will be available until November 27 at 23:59 over on their official website.

  • Suchmos Announce Japan Arena Tour for 2019

    Japanese rock group Suchmos will head on their first ever arena tour in 2019 which will take them to 7 cities across Japan for 8 concerts.

     

    The tour will begin at Ecopa Arena in Shizuoka before moving to Xebio Arena Sendai in Miyagi, Hokkai Kitayell in Hokkaido, Toki Messe in Niigata, Fukuoka Kokusai Center in Fukuoka, Hiroshima Sun Plaza Hall in Hiroshima, and Kobe World Memorial Hall in Hyogo.

     

    The venue line-up includes regions in Japan that Suchmos have never performed solo concerts at before.

     

    Early bird tickets go on sale on the band’s website at 10:00am (JST) on November 5 and will run until November 27 at 11:59pm (JST).

     

    Suchmos are also performing two shows at Yokohama Arena on November 24 and 25. Tickets for both days are sold out.

  • Suchmos to Perform at Music Festivals in Hong Kong and Thailand

    Japanese rock group Suchmos have announced that they will perform at Clockenflap Festival 2018 in Hong Kong and PEPSI PRESENTS BIG MOUNTAIN MUSIC FESTIVAL 9 in Thailand.

    They will perform at Clockenflap Festival 2018 on November 10 and at PEPSI PRESENTS BIG MOUNTAIN MUSIC FESTIVAL 9 on December 8.

    The band are also set to play two solo shows titled “Suchmos THE LIVE YOKOHAMA” at Yokohama Arena on November 24 and 25. Tickets have already sold out for both days.
